So, I mentioned that I found a Shock Blast Alt in TRU, and said he was really rare. I go on Ebay today and he's all over the place. I wish I could find Wave 4 Xevoz in a TRU... *knocks really hard on wood*

Any of you guys still collecting these? I'm pretty current on my collection. I think the only ones I need now are Sunstreaker and Skids,... oh, and the Masterpiece Trailer.

Have you guys seen the Dodge Ram Optimus Prime? I'm having an issue with it since Prime is a Semi as far as I'm concerned. Maybe they will have a Trailbreaker/Ironhide/Hoist repaint. Sunstreaker is cool, but I already have DeadEnd. I think the only duplicate I have is Grimlock and Wheeljack, cuz the Mustang is sweet. The other cop car, Red Alert I think is cool, but is it a repaint of an existing Binaltech or what? If someone knows please tell me. The Scion I'm getting as well as the Ford GT (Mirage, this car is HOTTT, yes 3 Ts), but I still haven't gotten Hound yet... but I guess I should to fill out the collection. I was IXNAY on ravage (Soundwave -> iPod/PSP anyone? Ravage in this day in age should be removable compact flash media... or a UMD), I have Meister/Jazz but even tho Shockwave/Laserwave was an awesome character in the Marvel Comics Transformers line, it's just a repaint to me where I'm more into seeing how they make the car robot thing really work this time. Now, If only they'll release a Walther PPK that turns into a decent looking Megatron, the designer of that should get an achievement award, A decent Starscream F-14 would rock... I know they are doing the car thing... or perhaps for moderntimes an F-22 Raptor to scale with the cars!!! I mean they made the Cybertron Starscream huge (I've been to TRU, he's a huge bulky shelf warmer...) Reflector could be a digital camera..., other classics TF that could be remade are Bumblebee (NO BRAINER, the new VW Beetle screams transformation) and they already transformer the minicooper www.mini2.com/images/news/robots/P0020675.jpgand Brawn:-> Hummer

Emummy,
Regarding Bumblebee, I remember reading on some TF related websites that the VW Beetle would not be released as an Alternator, nor Binaltech. Reason behind it was something to the fact that German engineered vehicle companies like VW, BMW, etc, would not give out the license to use their designs in any way that might coincide with anything portraying violence. I really don't know what the decision behind that was considering they let out the license back in the 80s. Go figure. Would be really nice to see them change their minds.
Anyways, I haven't seen this Dodge Ram Optimus you're talking about, but it gives me something to search for. I agree with you about Prime though, should be a semi - hence the Masterpiece version. That Dodge Ram should be someone else.
Red Alert - repaint of Prowl, right?
Haven't seen the Ford GT yet - man, I've got a lot of web research to do.
Brawn - a hummer. I've totally been thinking that for months now; almost attempted to make a custom of this. An H2 or H3 is the perfect body for Brawn.

eMummy, where did you find that image? I looked through the site, ad couldn't find a news report to go with it. I don't think it has anything to do with Transformers, since they haven't liscenced their designs, but said they might make something themselves. According to MotoringGear.com, it is a 'collector's model, not a toy; does not transform.' It is also a foot tall, a bit out of scale. for all information on Alternators and Binaltech, I go to to The Ultimate Transformers: Binaltech/Alternators resource page, at binalternators.de/binaltech_english.html (there is also a German version). They have profiles of each Alt, with pictures of both versions, background on the car and robot, and are th emost up-to-date dedicated site I can find. That should answer any questions. Bleighdzes, they have a rumor control on VW, with the Mini right below it: binalternators.de/rumors_english.html#vw

i really didn't want to pass it up, i just had so much lined up that day that i couldn't risk being short on funds later. i had to consider gas to and from the concert venue (100+ miles from home), pay tolls to get there and back (@ $6), food for me and my girl, concert tickets (another $25), beer at the show, and merch at the show. had i know i would have had at least $25 after it was all said and done, i would have definately picked it up.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for one if you haven't found one yet. I've started to see Depthcharge appearing in Target stores; I thought I'd never see him show up, but sure enough...

Thanks for the links Munkee. Turns out Alert is a cool repaint of Silver Streak/SMokescreen... sadness. op ed: You know, the Germans really got to get over the Nazi designer thing. The VW and Porsche were great designs. The Beetle being the car of the people, the Brits took over the factory after the war and gave it back to the Germans to save their economy. Nazi's,:you gotta love shooting them in every WWII game to come out ever. No ones gonna let people forget that war, but over 50 years later a Porshe Boxter that turns into a freaking robot, thats smurfing awesome. Get over your pc ass. Leave it to Dodge, Chevrolet and Ford to know what is cool and American is a robot's right to bear arms! So out of the classics they've left out: (I've left out Battlechargers, Headmasters, Targetmasters, Mailorders and Powermasters and those ones you had to pull back and let go of to move) Hoist/Trailbreaker ( binalternators.de/rumors_english.html#trailbreaker ) Grapple/Inferno/Hotspot: the firetruck/winchcable truck guy. Does CAT license? Brawn/Outback: the landrover esque miniautobot. Subaru Outback anyone? Gears: the blue and red mini autobot (my very first transformer!) apparently there was a red version of him, but i forgot the name. Goldbug/BumbleBee: no go, unless that Dodge Neon thing gets revoked Ratchet/First Aid: First Aid was the Protectobot AMbulance, not really exciting for the Binaltech line, but a name nonetheless Streetwise: Protectobot police car, after Prowl and Alert (kinda redundant) Ironhide: was a red Toyota minivan (gotta love that scene in the movie where MEgatron blows him away, was really sad!) CliffJumper/Tailgate: mini autobot Corvette, I'm thinking Toyota Celica or Toyota Supra Beachcomber: Dune buggies Pipes/Huffer: mini autobot Semis I'm thinking Japanese deliver trucks... I dunno) Breakdown: Stunticon, was a Lamborgini, maybe they can re imagine him as a MurciƩlago! They seemed to have totally lost or lack the desire for a Lamborgini/Ferrari license, which is really sad. Therefore, go with the Nissan Z. wait check that... Lamborgini is now owned by the Volkswagon group... so absolute screw. They own Audi too. www.nissanusa.comDragstrip: stunticon F1 racer (mirage repaint?) Stepper: blue repaint of Jazz with flames on hood Motormaster: Stunticon Leader-> the rumored Hummer... needs to be a Semi (black Masterpiece Prime!) Punch/Counterpunch: the spy transformer that was both decepticon and autobot! - a Jaguar, www.jaguarusa.com/us/en/vehicles/xk/overview/introduction.htmLike I said before Ravage was an abomination, but Grimlock I can deal with cuz the Ford Mustang is awesome, the impact tho was taken away by an awesome Wheeljack version (the old Wheeljack was a Lancia Stratos, a Rally Car, much like Smokescreen is now) www.autosrapidos.com/superautos/l/lancia-stratos01.jpgwww.kyoshousa.com/Lancia%201.jpgthe European manufactureres don't seem to be down like the American/Japanese companies do... maybe TF was never big in Europe, they were watching Dragonball, Grendizer, and other Japanese cartoons...) Shockwave is well, he's a good toy, but again, Shockwave and Megatron are freakin GUNS! Megatron was evil and bad ass cuz he was a GUN, and awesome that Starscream got to hold him and blow the Autobots away. I'd hate to see more Dinobot names/non-car TFs get the binaltech treatment.

Well, as long as you had a good reason. In all truth, Prowl's decent but not exceptional. And he'll be easier to find when the new case assortments are released.... I finally completed my Alt collection (to this point), and I'd rank Meister and Sideswipe at the top of the list. Although I haven't opened Swerve and Decepticharge yet.

thanks Bleighdzes . i'm sure that prowl will be easier to find when the new case assortments are released, but i would rather have him in the regular style packaging (so it will match my others) instead of the new "fishbowl" style packaging. don't get me wrong, the fishbowl packaging is cool (pics can be seen at bigbadtoystore.com). i'll take it however i can get it, but that's my preference.

Did you ever find a Prowl? I just went to a Target store around my way and picked up Skids & Sunstreaker. Saw the new Prowl and Tracks packaged toys too. Minus Masterpiece Optimus' trailer, I'm all caught up with the Alternators. ;D

For the record right now my Alternator collection (all Alts; passed up the chance at a toy/hobby store to get a Binaltech Swindle) consists of:
Smokescreen Side Swipe Silverstreak (Autobot) Hound (Autobot) Tracks Grimlock Windcharger Shockwave (aka Shockblast) Prowl Sunstreaker (Autobot) Skids
Great line overall; very nicely designed and articulated, and spot-on models of the vehicles. One thing I'd like to see would be a Micromaster / Targetmaster etc. type driver figure... (The Red Alert was a Japanese repaint of Streak, I believe.)
