I believe it's the 2004 version of Binaltech Smokescreen that comes with the shoulder missile. It looks great too.

Yeah, the Binaltech Smokescreen GT, I think. Isn't he actually supposed to be a clone Smokescreen or his drone? Something like that. I wish they'd include the shoulder-mounted rocket launchers and cannons too.
As for Windcharger's gun barrel, I'm probably just going to make my own.

I was excited to hear from UK Toyfair that an Acura done up as Prowl is coming this year. I'd love to see them do Prime as a Hummer.

I'd like to see Ironhide as an H2. Masterpiece Prime will always be the leader of my Autobot Alternators. I also want to see a Megatron sometime in the future but I have no idea what they will make him transform into besides a tank. I'd also like him to be very close to his original Robot form. That is why it maybe why they are waiting on him. He will be a hard toy to make G1 fans happy with a compromise with.

You know, I wonder if they'll be releasing Megs as a tank as a movie tie-in. I can think of no line better than the Alternators as a 'movie' sort of franchise when it comes out in 2006. From what I've read online (and Don Murphy's message board), Megs has been confirmed as a tank in the movie.
Ironhide as an H2 would be appropriate. I'd also like to see him as a Dodge Ram, an Alt mode that was rumored to be a part of the line for some time now.

I already picked a set up on Buy it Now. These will really dress these guys up. If I like them enough I plan on painting a few more to match the different alts.

That sounds like a plan . . . and a good one at that. If you do decide to paint those bad boys up, be sure to post some pictures here to let us see. It's amazing how much of a difference the shoulder-mounted cannons make. Visually, they really put the Alternators over the top. I wish they came with all the toys . . . .

I've often thought that Brawn would be a better choice for an H2. As for Ironhide I can see him being perhaps a Dodge Durango, or the classic van shape of a Caravan. I can't see why not considering that Dodge gave them the license to make cars in their likeness (Sideswipe & Dead End).

See, I think Huffer would be best as a Ford F150. I always though it was weird one of the smallest autobots transformed into a tractor trailer no bigger than a VW Beetle. Heh, if we got technical Ironhide would be Dodge Grand Caravan. ~SS~

Hummer would good for Ironhide, but I dunno, I think the Dodge Ram would fit him perfectly. As much as I like Huffer, I don't think he deserves the ALT treatment. Not yet anyway.

heh, maybe not but they made relative nobodies like smokescreen and windcharger already. I think any car based Autobot is possible at this point.

Sadly though, we won't be seeing Bumblebee making an appearance as a new VW Beetle. I remember reading in a few TF forums months back about how VW denied Takara/Hasbro the license to manufacture Bumblebee or any other VW based TF in the likeness of any of their vehicles. From what I remember, the german engineering company didn't want to have their vehicles connected with anything that portrays or has any relation to violence or violent activities. I can understand their considerations, but it's a dang shame. I guess in the meantime, we can always appreciate this guy's custom... www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=5104508&uid=2332122
