No everything will remain the same as far as the body goes the only thing that will change is the individually themed color in the paint scheme and the weapons. The "R" type Cyber Shell is about 60% complete... so look for it in a few days time.

If the project turns out cool, rest assured you and sock monkey helped play a valuable role in it all. Ouch SS, I suddenly feel unloved .... Oh well, I'll get over it.

Sorry Shane, I meant to include your insight and your links helped too. There's always someone I forget to thank. If I've forgotten anyone else I offer my sincerest apologies as well. ~SS~

No problem SS, I was mostly joking anyway, and after seeing the way that your paint apps came out (as in looked great, especially for a first timer) I wasn't sure if any of my info had really added anything of importance.
Thank you and your welcome, all the same, and I'm glad that the links were able to help. On that note, how much did the links actually help? I haven't really been to the Stikfas Customizers Guild site in quite some time now, so I wasn't really sure what had come of it, but based on the premise that it had started on and the fact that it is still around, I figured that it must still be a great and powerful resource for customizing.
Also, since I don't think that I have said anything yet, excellent work there on the finished paint job, very impressive looking custom.

It does have to be said - what if this is exactly what they have in mind for the Wave 5 Mech Shell Xevoz? Minus the references to a competitor's main toy line, of course.

Hmmm... I don't think it'll be like these customs. There is that possability but I just don't think it will be a robotic Teenage Mutant Turtle homage. I'm think the robotic mini-tank theory has a lot of merit, but I guess we'll just wait and see.
Sorry for a lack of updates. The other 3 cyber shells are all in various states of completion. The R-type just lacks a couple of accent parts from being complete. I should be receiving these from Zevox anyday in a big parts order that I sent payment for early last week. The D-type an M-Type are needing more parts from the same order, but are getting the elements of what I have from them on hand painted so that when the parts arrive they can be further along for viewing.

The project finally nears completion. I clear coated the other 3 Bio-mecha turtle units tonight. Now only a final gag piece reamains left to complete the Cyber Shell strike force. Expect some pictorial updates later in the week!

AWESOMES! i may just be the biggest tmnt fanatic here, so i'm really mad i didn't see this sooner...
anyway, leo-bot looks freakin sweet, dude. i probably would have used a lighter blue for more of an accent, but he still looks awesome.
i was really glad to read that you were making all 4 turtles. i hope things go well and that you're able to even make shredder... maybe even casey jones, splinter, or any number of the villains. then again, that's probably taking it too far.
i wish i had enough parts to make my own set, but i congratulate you on what you've done so far, it's quite an homage
do i want to see the rest when you're done? "affirmative... yes... yo... right on... my man"
let's do it, eh?

[glow=green,2,300]I'm actually considering a Casey mod... I considered it the moment I saw Shield Breaker's gag peice was a goalie stick. Considering this and a bat were Casey's primary weapons, All I need is a Jason-hockey mask and the right peices to go with it.[/glow]

if he stayed in the biomecha vein, the preda crawler head could just be used instead of a hockey mask.

If you painted Shield Breaker's mask, and did some fine molding and cutting details though, it would make a great hockey mask. It would actually fit on SB's head and be removable. Only downfall is Shield Break's face doesn't really look like a human's like Preda Crawlers does, and I dunno how attractive a big peg hole in the fore head would look. Maybe you could make some kind of "plug" for it if you went that route though? *shrug*[/b]

I have plans already to do a custom Shredder Unnatural type homage. I've already started working on some of the pieces, but need wave 4 to arrive so I can put it all together. I also have some plans I've been kicking around for some of the generic footclan soldiers and an original cartoon homage to a sectiod Baxter Stockman. Other homages I'd like to do would be a metabeast splinter, Beebop, and Rocksteady. I'd need new kits to debut for those though. I've though about a neo sapien Casey Jones homage too, but it's just a matter of finding a way to do the head that I like and feel comfortable with.
*EDIT* - That's a great idea, Secter. I may try a combination by using the top part of the anime looking Sky Grinder high hair, the masked Shield Breaker lower head with face, and some sculpey. I'll just have to look into it and see if I think it will look good enough to warrant sacrificng two heads for the cause.

Here's the first of several updates I'll be posting in the next few days. It's the D-type Cyber Shell. These show it with it's melee weapon: the plasma bo staff. These pics show the D-type Cyber Shell with it's heavy assault weapons deployed. I originally envisioned each Cyber Shell having huge attachable weapon systems like this but then decided it worked best with the D-type as Donetello is the resident Turtle inventor and that it lent as a sort of "gag piece" to his TMNT personality. (That and it would have made my parts budget for this project get even more pricey.) I'm open to questions and comments. Next up for public viewing will be the M-type... ~SS~
