That is the "production" Grim Skull. One of our members hears from "a source" @ Hasbro ..... Apparently Hasbro wanted to rush out these promo sets and used all existing pieces. The later releases will include all new "exclusive" parts. The colors on this Grim Skull are subtly different, both on the figure and accessories. I CAN NOT WAIT for the new one ........ ... Those Wings .. Here is a post from the .Org that might help explain: www.he-man.org/forums/boards/showpost.php?p=1065518&postcount=108

Are you sure the parts are all new? I thought the wings were repaints of the Hemogoblin wings... Not sure about the gauntlets, though. (And yes, Shield Breaker looks awesome. Wonder if he's affiliated with the Alpha Ranger team?)

They look different to me so does the sword and gauntlets. Also as long as Sheild Breaker is a Neo Sapien, I'm cool. I love how the humans aren't helpless at all with their heavy equipement.

I've spent far too much time studying the pics As for the Sheild Breaker; He is a Neo so I'm sure he can be used as heavy artillery for a Alpha or Omega Unit.

[glow=purple,2,300]Yep, yep, the one thing I noticed right off is the Grim Skull's wings are tatered as the Hemogoblin's are not.[/glow]

Hmmm... looks like you're right - Hemogoblin's wings are much smaller than Grim II's are, and a few of the parts appear to be painted differently... but frankly, with one Grim Skull set out there, I'd almost like to see Hasbro release a COMPLETELY different one... with different skeleton parts (okay, bones) and maybe a cloak similar to Quick Slinger's coat.

I'd love to see a new take on the skeleton form. The grim reaper design springs to mind..

[glow=purple,2,300]I'm sure we will see some more unnatural type skeletons down the line from the line. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Grimm Reaper as a leader type figure of the unnatural horde.
You just have to love how Xevoz has taken some of the biggest fanboy favorite niches(monsters, beasts, robots, bugs, fantasy, and military) and collected all under one banner.[/glow]

How can a line with such a broad range of interest not do well?

I'd like to see the skeleton form used, in various colors, as historical type soldiers. A pirate was a great start. But maybe they could do roman soldier with skeleton horse, barbarian, and knight with some type of flying skeleton beast. They could make alot of cool verisons with the knights....like a Black Knight, Red night, Blue knight, Green knight...maybe a two pack with a neo-sapian counterpart in a modernistic White knight armor or Silver armor. The Skeleton knights would be cast in different translucent colors...like a translucent red skeleton for the Black knight armor.

[glow=purple,2,300]I'm not sure I want to see that many takes on skeletons. After awhile that would become very redundant and I would rather see fresher ideas from the Unnatural forces. We are already assured of another Grimm Skull variant. That makes 3 skeleton variations in the line's short shelf life. I could see maybe another deluxe come out in a year or two that could incorperate alot of those part ideas in one package. I just would not think it wise to flood the market with nothing buth skeleton variants for the Unnaturals. Most people would want more variety. I know I would be dissappointed if we only saw skeleton variations from the Unnaturals.[/glow]

Although I like the Skeleton variations I think we'll start seeing more of the monster type characters that they keep metioning roaming Tomb Stone Island. If you look at what we have so far it seems they did 2 or 3 versions with relatively the same pieces of the main species to get some figs out there quick to see how the line would do. Not just that but all of the figs they've released so far are more army orientated so they are figures that they can continue to release in following assortments.
Alpha Ranger/Omega Guard/ Shadow Blade then Sky Grinder Skull Jack/ Grim Skull then Hemo Goblin Razor Claw/ Moon Stalker then Storm Wing
I think we'll be seeing a lot more variety in species now that we have the basic army builder figs out there.

i for one would not like to see the skull series re-hashed with other uniform type things. like for example a skull jack with historical soldier uniform.... huh? it brings our past into this made up reality and i don't think it really works. the species of un-naturals though can cover a ton of stuff. like ghosts, dead guys, creepy things, etc. the cowboy could be "un natural" as we find out he isn't living or something like that.
we'll see great things from the series, i'd bet my collection on it.
Your_Number1_Fan --> sure glad "great" can't have a value placed on it lol
