[glow=purple,2,300]I'd like to know where information on the upcoming figures can be found. Such as their names and what group affiliation. As for the unnaturals I still would rather see swamp creatures, zombies, mummies, trolls, devils, orcs, and specters before yet more skeletons.[/glow]

Right now there really isn't any concrete info aside from what we saw at Toy Fair and what was in the latest Toy Fair mag. It's just a big waiting game for the most part. Which is fine by me because it just builds the excitement a bit more to see what's coming next ;D

[glow=purple,2,300]So the names were in the latest issue of Toyfare? I may have to track it down if the pictures were really cool too.[/glow]

...it brings our past into this made up reality and i don't think it really works. the species of un-naturals though can cover a ton of stuff. like ghosts, dead guys, creepy things, etc. the cowboy could be "un natural" as we find out he isn't living or something like that. I see your point...but isn't the cowboy and ninja exactly this? Even the pirate theme for the skeleton is this to an extent. All the ones I mentioned about are in this vein...a theme with a "xevoz" take on them. As far as not wanting to see tons of skeletons...that's just the army builder side in me come out. With Hasbro's, and most other companies, love of "repaints" I'd prefer to see ".5" type waves that give us more variation in colors and such, then having nothing at all between waves. I'll take all the variation they can throw at me, as long as they are relatively cool.

[glow=purple,2,300]Yeah, I think you have to wonder if Zenotopia is really earth is the far future after a great war or an alternate reality.
I'm not totallly against more skeleton variations in the future with new accessories I just think we have had more than enough of them now. We'll have seen 3 versions of the same character at year's end. Let's see some new things.[/glow]

oh hey ChrisL, i wasn't meaning to pin point your ideas or bash them. i'd love more repaints and stuff too, but not of things that other series have done in the past. i don't like the mixing of real and reality when they can build their own past... the ninja is high tech and the cowboy looks more "trigun" ish than old western. so if they made the traditional "old soldier" i'd want it to be from their own reality... which might be hard to do. some dead alpha's or something would be cool because we know what they look like already.
hope that makes sense... and sorry if my original post hit a nerve or two. but i think what you are meaning is what i was meaning, i just read what you said wrong lol

key example to what i was meaning -- Teenage mutant ninja turtles. you can get space ralph and custer leo and camo don and the list goes on and on.

oh hey ChrisL, i wasn't meaning to pin point your ideas or bash them No...that's it...I'm leaving this board forever!! It's all good....I'm just impatient for wave 2 and even having to wait until july for wave 3 is killing me. So in my army building, fan boy dreams...stuff like wave 1.5 with skeleton warriors with different armor, even different colored Alpha Rangers with different weapons, Razor claws with different armor...stuff like this seems best suited now...why they are still generally new conceptions, then maybe getting wave 4 of all rehash. But seriously, that's for posting to clear things up.

[glow=purple,2,300]Have you ever considered custom painting some extra figures? Several people have done that and i think they look great. I have done just a bit with the Alpha Rangers heads and hands and they came out great.[/glow]

I have...but the annoying perfectionist side of me can't bring myself to paint one because I think the paint won't adhere to the ball joint after a few uses. I've looked over all the figures and Hasbro was careful not to do this either. The fine white dust on the joints now tell me that there is a high probability this will occur if I paint them...which brings me to my next thought...does anyone think, after a year or so of wear on the balls joints, these guys might not stay together as well...or maybe not at all?

[glow=purple,2,300]Yeah, I'm not sure what to do about the ball joints and painting. I didn't have to paint those parts in my limited customizing work so it wasn't a problem.[/glow]

It'll thicken it a bit and it'll work fine. As for painted ball joints, I suppose the same strategy could be used, but I'm thinking maybe a coat of paint and then a coat of nail polish might be a bit thick for the joint to work properly. Not too sure here.
