Every single figure released so far has come with this little weapon which looks like someone ripped the handle off a suitcase. It's the only other common accessory besides the Power Glyphs, so maybe it will play a part in the game down the road; the characters use it to control the Glyph rolls or something.

It makes for a mystery...kinda like the whole glyph thing on the packages and site Finally got a full listing of what stands for what...had just about deciphered it before going to the website and playing the decoding game, don't think i'd have gotten the numbers though. Seriously though, it provides a nice sort of connection between all the figures as one of the only things they actually have in common part wise.

Someone (on one of the toy boards, I think maybe Stikfans) had theorized that it was the energy tool thingie that allows the characters in the cartoon to "Xevolve" or morph parts of their bodies into parts from other characters. I think this is about as good an explanation as one could theorize at this point. -Shane

it was stikfans... i would link you but i'm lazy anyways my idea was that they would use this device to scan the other person... like say an alpha ranger scans the hand of a meta beast, well then he can change his hand into a meta beast. this also limits what the figure can change into... for example if you've never scaned a skull jack, you won't be able to transform into a skull jack. ~ i'm thinking this is more story line based then actual game, but it would add some depth. Your_Number1_Fan -- i'll look for my post there a little later if you guys want.

My guess is that it's a set of brass knuckles.

Some of these descriptions are reallly interesting, and it makes me that much more anxious for them to start the story part of Xevos so that we can find out more things about each species. However, it probably wont be as cool as some of the ideas you guys have had and just end up being brass knuckles. But the scanner idea is the best one so far.

I'm definetly in agreement on the scanner idea, or at least something along those lines.
Especially since it's the only piece that has come with every figure. Why include brass knuckles with every figure? Why would a Biomecha have any use for a set of brass knuckles?
I think it'll all play into the story at some point. From what I've pieced together so far I think Hasbro really went all out when thinking up this line and the Xevoz world in general.

Good point, why would a 550lb (yes i looked it up)robot with a chainsaw arm and missles need brass knuckles? I just figured it was their way of including more stuff with the figure. I'm just so used to not getting my hopes up about certain aspects of toys (couch Mattel)that I forgot some companies actually know what they are doing.

I don't think you will run into any problems by getting your hopes up about Xevoz. Just look at the awesome stuff they showed at Toy Fair, if that's the stuff they're willing to show imagine the amazing stuff they still have on the drawing board

Actually, what we are seeing now and what has been announced rocks, but I wonder how many waves they can throw at us before it starts getting redundant. There is a lot of material out there they can use to inspire themselves, but still I'm afraid of repaints. Let's hope they do keep it fresh for as long as possible though.

Althought I can't find the link. I remember reading online that this artifact plays a key role in "Xevolving" for the characters.

Still can't find the link. I'll keep looking.
If I had to guess, I'd say there are two distinct possiblities. The first is that when/if there is a Xevoz TV show, everyone will have one of these things.
The second, (and I hope this is right) is that it will eventually become an important part of the game.
I imagine that in an advanced game, when you lose a part you no longer weild that as a weapon (as opposed to the basic game, where even when you're only a foot, you can still Mind Rip). With those rules, the device could be a very interesting addition.
For example, by filling one of your Xevoz figures hands with this device (instead of a weapon that comes with a glyph) you'll be given an extra special ability (perhaps healing with parts you didn't start the match with). If you're opponent targets the device for "slicing", you'll lose tha ability and not get it back even with healing.

In all honesty I don't know what the big deal was with the Value packs. I was quite disapointed to find that they were just repaints with in some cases fewer original accessories and additional accessories from another fig. Granted this is an easy line to do repaints and release new figs but I too hope that they keep pumping out more new pieces before they start repainting everything. Gearz: Is the article you're looking for the one that I quoted over in the new species thread? About the EV-AC item that the Ancients used to transform their body parts? I really think the handle weapon at least has something to do with the EV-AC if it's not the EV-AC itself. Incorporating it into the game would be cool but I just don't see that happening. I do agree with you on loosing the ability to use a weapon though. Granted still being able to use your power parts can allow you to build yourself back up it would make for a lot more strategy in building the figure if you lost the ability to use the parts after loosing them.
