Wow, after not posting here for about two years, it's great to see people still holding out hope for Xevoz. Seeing what could have been has really re-ignited my interest in them.
Here's to hoping some type of announcement comes out soon.

I'm not really holding out any hope that I'll ever see anymore but I guess it's like a great party we went too and there are a few of us left are to drunk to drive ourselves. No one really wants to turn out the light and leave.

By that time the 10 or so of us that still check this place every week will have moved on to early bird special at dennys, feeding the squirrels at the park and watching 60 minutes religiously. Whaddaya mean? I do that now!

I remember there were 2 exclusive packs made that reused parts with a color variation. I think we did them for TRU. One had the original neo sapien with a few molds worth of the sledge trooper, the other was a skeleton with a few molds of the fire elemental. I used to work for Hasbro, all the designers & even the marketer who worked on that brand are no longer with Hasbro for our own reasons. The reasons for canceling Xevoz are complex. The simplest reason (although not the whole story) is that Xevoz didn't make enough money for Hasbro. I've explained before that the factory molds for a single figure can cost over $40,000 dollars to get up and running, this is not including the raw materials, shipping, packaging, labor etc. Large companies can't consider keeping a brand that isn't pulling in under 15-20 million a year. The other reason is retail space each company haggles with the retailers to get the best deals on shelf space much like housing property or commercial real estate. At the end of the day Hasbro had "X" amount of shelf space and they opted to give a larger percentage of that space to the upcoming Star Wars prequel. My opinion is that there always to be alot more advertising money for any brand that doesn't have a cartoon or movie attached to it. Concerning the release date of a specific figure: If the designer isn't directly in charge of a brand it's unlikely they would know much if anything about the production and shipping timelines. It would be like asking the algebra professor when the track coach was going to run his sprint drills. hang around the Transformers forums, those guys sometimes have good info from the design crew because of all the conventions they attend.

I was reading this page and saw the time stamp as June 25th; and for a moment I thought that I had fallen through time. Unfortunately that was 2008's June 25th. Almost a year between posts in this thread.
Nice.

these guys have all the information about wave 5 that is public on one of the older links (names and the package illos that were leaked.) Sorry I can't say more (had a talk with the guys about it & decided we're in a gray legal area showing photos) I would guess that when they were newly cut, a set of molds for a figure would be 30-50k, but now they'd be less due to lowered demand. (guessing, I never had to get into that too specifically with the engineers) cool. if that happens will wave 4 finally make it 2 stores? ive seen pics of a few guys.
