Oh, man, I'm going to go throw up now. The thought of never getting my hands on this guy is making me nauseated.

Okay, that was just freakin awesome! It make me happy and yet sad at the same time. Well it least it gave this board something to rekindle a lost love with something that's been dead and buried for several years. I wish we could see and know much more but y'know hasbro must gaurd the secrets of a toyline that is dead and never coming back against us dozen or so fanboys who would take this knowledge and treasure it.

Wacommonkey: Thank you very, very much! Like others have said, it's awesome that we get to see this figure up close (now I could hold it my hands... ).

Heyyyyy...
Why does a turtle have a melee weapon?
Is the dent on the right side of his head and ear or scar?
the older posted pic has an extra body part. Is that a head? How about the flat looking gear thing. Is that the part from Franken Punker? What are the black looking things that look like bottle jacks?

Holy Mother. That easily would've been one of my favorite Xevoz figures, no doubt about it. It's a beautiful figure in and of itself, and my heart bleeds to think of the things I could've done with those parts. Thanks for letting us see these pictures, Wacommonkey. I'm gonna go drink heavily now....

Glad that people got a kick out of the pics. I'll see if we can do another figure.
"Why does a turtle have a melee weapon?"
you're right it would be totally unprecedented to have an upright turtle with a bladed weapon...
"Is the dent on the right side of his head and ear or scar?"
Battle Scar!
"the older posted pic has an extra body part. Is that a head? How about the flat looking gear thing. Is that the part from Franken Punker? What are the black looking things that look like bottle jacks?" He does have another non-bitey head, I think the flat part you're thinking of is the funny bit, it's supposed to mimic an fashioned tin toy key, since he's all about mechanical stuff Not sure about the bottle jacks?

If you feel like you could answer questions about mech shell...
Was mech shell the final name for the toy?
What was it's drain piece?
Did you guys have one in a mocked up package?
How many prototypes of this figure exist (more or less a question in case one ever pops up on ebay so I can guage it's worth)?
Were there other reptasaurs planned and what were they?
Was there a bio written for this figure?

I really, really don't want to take this thread off topic, but.. What exactly is 4chan? And why is that almost every posting there is cursing or using obscenities? It is required or something?

I do know there are some real haters over there. I made a post to some of the false claims about the toys. Some of them are trying to make it sound like the pieces were defective and broke off everytime you put them together. I know some people have had worse luck than I have (never had a broken piece I didn't intentionally break for customization purposes) but not the super brittle everyone you buy is going to shatter crap they are selling. Others act like a couple of sporadic and few in far between commercial airings on cartoon network in the early weeks of july of 2004 should have been enough to make the toys fly off the shelf. If transformers had gotten as crappy support back in the 80s that line would have been a miserable failure too.
Lots of interested people that have never seen or heard of the toys are over there too trying to figure out how to get some of the plastic crack they missed out on. Proof for certain that despite what the haters say Hasbro did a super crappy job promoting and getting the word out on this toyline, had they more vision and patience we still could be enjoying new xevoz today.

Up to what i know 4chan is an "uncensored" forum.
You can get any type of information over there, and uncensored means uncensored. (As long as you don't break certain rules)
About the /toy/ board, it is known that there are lots of Hasbro lovers over there(as well as haters), so if you say anything against it, they will most likely react.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4chan I try and move on, but I can't! Like SS, Xevoz has raised my standards and ruined other toys for me, so whatever I buy inevitably gets compared to Xevoz... I'm hoping to major in marketing when I head off to college, so if I ever get a job at Hasbro I'm going to try like hell to get Xevoz back in the stores.
