Well, after reworking my old Hemo Goblin figure (which became Shrike), I finally got about to redoing the corresponding Moon Stalker, which I had originally painted mostly blue (probably too blue overall). I mixed in parts from Razorclaw to add variety and versatility. The basic figure with sword. The upper body was remolded with epoxy putty; the lower body and upper legs were replaced with those from my old brown Razorclaw repaint. Basic plate armor - it took awhile to decide on the green and brown color scheme. The bow and arrow was made from the crossbow piece, cut and rebuilt with putty, and the Rune Slash axe. My intention was to create a more traditional bow and arrow, and I think it mostly works here. Of course, having the arrowhead hooked like that may not be the most realistic, but it looks all right to me. Note the bow-and-arrow markings on his shoulders and thighs. Using the Razorclaw head (with sculpted mane) and tail left over from my attempted "Metacaster" custom. Yes, I had the idea shortly before eMummy presented his rendition of a lion figure. Since I used the cape piece for Shrike's hair, I redid the MS chestplate, using the leftover pieces to create an armpiece with a ball socket for accessories. With the Tigerclaw repaint of Razorclaw, showing the different approach to the white fur.

Nice additions to the base upper body, they give him a suitable menacing look. The bow and arrow shot works quite well.

Looks really good man. For some reason, I've found painting something in one solid color is really hard to do.

Thanks... And believe me, painting in a light color is even harder. The white paint isn't completely consistent - the "fur" molded on the back, for instance, turned out a bit yellowed - but the flat grey brushstrokes to give it a furry texture helped. When I swapped the lower body with the brown Razorclaw, I of course painted the MS pants black and added RC stickers as close as possible as to where they originally were for that character. I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out overall... Minor update on other stuff: I've completed what could be my final Xevoz custom, unless I break down and get another Franken Punker (if I can); I should be able to get photos up this weekend or mid next week, if Guitar Hero III doesn't destroy my time and attention altogether. I have used up the parts of the Alpha Ranger kit I was using, except for the handgun, rifle, and the chestplate, which I destroyed trying to make an alternate chest piece for Shrike (I ended up scratchbuilding it out of epoxy putty and two pegs cut from the EV-AC pieces) and really wish I had saved for my Thunder Shaman repaint...

Sorry to bump this topic, but I did try experimenting with adding Firedrake and some Skull Jack parts, along with, just for the heck of it, the hooves I made for my minotaur Thunder Shaman, to create sort of an unusual chimera character: For now, I call him Fire Walker... Unfortunately, this custom does bring into sharp relief how loose his shoulder joints are right now... they won't even stay posed at some angles. I'm guessing this is common to Moon Stalkers in general, as the other three I have seem to share this issue, and not even nail polish seems to be helping...

That does make an interesting Chimara like creature. Nice work.
