. . . nothing kills a toy line like an over-abundance of heroes and not enough villains. No joke, Besides that, most of the coolest characters in the G.I. Joe universe are the villains. There are pics floating around of a Cobra Commander and a BAT, which look awesome.

I really like the design of these, but the price point of $15 each will probably keep me away. That's just too much for a figure when other companies are putting out similar stuff far cheaper...ala Marvel Legends at under $7 a pop.

I dunno. I will probably cave and buy some. If I collect them all it will be very slowly though. That's for sure. That big guy with the huge ass gun looks pretty dang cool.

I can't wait to see what the female characters will look like. I want the Baroness!

No joke, Besides that, most of the coolest characters in the G.I. Joe universe are the villains. There are pics floating around of a Cobra Commander and a BAT, which look awesome. I agree, that BAT looks sweet. If Cobra Commander's helmet can be removed so that he can be displayed in his hood alone, I'll like even his design. I can't wait to see what the female characters will look like. I want the Baroness! Amen, brother. Scarlet and Jinx would be welcome additions as well, but I wonder if Hasbro will for some reason shy away from female figures with the $14.99 price point. I hope not, as I love the designs of these figures, and I think that the style would look great on the Joe girls. Also, with the greater amount of articulation that the Sigma Six line apparently features - in addition to more proportionate sculpts - I think that the new Joes will blow the lame-@$$ Star Wars: Force Battlers out of the water. Even though I was at one point looking forward to that line, it ultimately proved to be pretty weak. I hope that's not the case with Sigma Six.

that's great news! but i wonder why all of the pics that i have seen of the commander, his hood is gray. i also wonder if there are any plans for the "chrome dome" helmet version as well. oh well, i guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'm starting to speculate on the price point for these new guys. For one, the package. They look pretty sizeable and durable(maybe re-usable?) Two, the amount of accessories that come with each fig. I was crusin HTS, and there are quite a few pictured, and it looks like they didn't even show all of them in some cases. I theorize that may be something Hasbro learned from Xevoz: Lets give um a butt load of stuff. Three, the size. I mean just look at them, there pretty beefy. I'm starting to dig these guys more and more, and I know for me seeing them in person will probably make me go "Oh, ok thats why its $15" or "Thats why its $15?" In the end though, I guess I'll just wait and see, but I don't want to take to long. Thats what happened with me and Xevoz and I missed em when the first came out.

I'd love to see a battle helmet version of Cobra commander. But I'm afraid that may never happen since the version we've seen has both the hood (which should be blue, but is gray. wtf?) and the removable helmet would be his 'battle helmet' (I hate that stupid helmet).

I kinda see the similar styles of Sigma Six and Xevoz, but its also a stretch for me to say thats why I'd pick them up.
That being said, I plan to pick up a few of these figures. The second assortment has a sniper in it (i think) that was the "SOLD" figure for me. He looks great. If I only get one figure from the series, it'll be him. The rest will be picked and choosen due to the price point and accessories. I don't know if I really like the Gattlin gun in the first wave... and I don't think that figure comes with any hand guns... Thus I'll probably skip him. The Ninjas look pretty good. Hell even SnakeEye's bike looks decent.
Also, just a heads up. I did a google groups search for "sigma six" and there was a guy saying KB Toys has them. Might be worth it to check. The hasbro website says Oct 1 release date though.

The hasbro website says Oct 1 release date though Just wanted to report back That KB Toys does have them. but... they're $19.99 I picked up Duke. The figure rocks. The online pictures don't do the figures justice. Case assortment I'm not sure about, but there were at least 2 snake-eyes figures and 1 of everyone else. No Bike though. Let me know if yall have questions or want a more in-depth review. Later~ ~Your Number1 Fan

Roger that.
I'm a little loopy on some headache meds right now. But I'll find my camera tonight hopefully and pump out a review.
I, in a weak momment, swung back to the store and picked up SnakeEyes, Storm Shadow and Spirit. At this point, I may have to pick up Heavy Duty just for the heck of it.
Anyways, reviews and a few photos tonnight when the effect of meds is a little easier to work with. lol.
Your Number1 Fan -has no headache, but is lil bit tipsy

I feel your pain, man--I'm hopped up on muscle relaxers, myself. Anyway, having seen the new photo-spread at toynewsi.com, I will say this: These toys are better than the 3.75" line--going back to the size of the old super-joe dolls was a great idea, and the accessories look awesome. This may be the most fun you could cram into a kid's action figure. I wish most of the mothers in my family weren't so fascist when it comes to violent toys--or these would be under everyone's tree this year from uncle randy...
