...I bought my 5 year old snake eyes as a birthday present and was impressed with it. So after vowing I'd not get involved in another action figure line post Xevoz I've become a Sigma Six buyer. The thing is I'm not interested in the Joes though... I only am buying Cobra troops. I've always found them far more interesting.

I agree...Cobra is way cooler than the Joes. I have thankfully been able to resist these. Grabbed Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow last year when they came out and got Heavy Duty and Spirit for Christmas, but I ended up returning those two because I decided I didn't want to get sucked into the line.
Since then I have seen all the new ones and passed on them all, including Long Range with the skull chain, Cobra Commander, BAT, Tunnel Rat, and more (those 4 are all ones I normally would've bought).
I'll definately get a Zartan if he looks like the concept art does, and a Firefly (those two were always favs of mine), but that's probably it.
The figures rule, but at $10 - $15 a pop, I just don't want to commit myself to that many new toys.

I will definately pick up Zartan, Destro, Firefly, the Dreadnoks, Wild Weasle, Big Boa, Scrap Iron and the baroness if they make them. I think they might even be able to make a descent Major Blood and Dr. Mindbender in this new style. If I collect only the Cobras I feel I can keep my spending down quite a bit on this line since it's mostly loaded with Joes.

Yeah, some of those - like Destro, Baroness, etc - I would totally want, but I am better off passing on them, otherwise I'll get sucked into getting them all.

Dude, just join the rest of us G.I. Junkies and buy already! I started off just wanting Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes, now I have all of them plus the bikes. Just cave in and embrace the feeling man!

Longerange and Heavy Duty are cool, too, though.

Longerange and Heavy Duty are cool, too, though. Right now if I were to branch out to the joes those would be the tops of my want list along with Spirit and Snake Eyes. ~SS~

I picked up Snake Eyes just to see what they were all about. Then I got a Storm Shadow because he's gotta have someone he can fight. I hadn't been into Joe toys since I was 12, but I'll be dammed if this isn't getting me back into them. I've got the entire line now, including the bikes and the blaster. I started customizing some of them and I now have a digital camera, so I can post pics. Wow, I guess I can even post my Xevoz customs now.
In short, the Sigma 6 line is amazing. Awesome figures with pretty good posability, awesome accessories, and somewhat endless possibilities. The cycles have been nice, vehicle wise, but can you imagine some of the "smaller" 3 3/4" vehicles getting the S6 makeover? I'm thinking of a Cobra Flight Pod(Trouble Bubble) or a FANG helicopter. Not sure about the Joes, but a reg. Silver Mirage motorcycle would be nice, perhaps with a sidecar.

[glow=red,2,300]i envy your courage. i refuse to fork out a dollar to buy sigma 6. even if someone GAVE me one, i would take it, be thankful, and then re-gift it. i am settled on my current toy lines: marvel legends, gundam MSIAs, bionicle parts (i make my own stuff,) and microman material force, and of course xevoz wave 4. None of those toylines interest me in fact I have no other currently running lines so it's not that big of thing to pick up the one new Cobra figure a wave every few months.

I got all the current sigma6 because I've been able to get them at stores, I even got SeaDuke and now have 3 different versions of snakeeyes and two storm shadows. I'm not really into the blue robot bat and new stormshadow (scorpion from MK basically) and I refuse to get anymore Dukes like Jet duke, altho the flame thrower HeavyDuty looks cool, too bad he's not BBQ, but I do like how they reduced the Joe roster, there were too many lame guys. The problem is reconciling the cartoons I grew up watching with Dusty, Bazooka, Alpine, Stalker, Roadblock etc with the sigma6 line, I know the show makes it easier for kids by making the enemies robots, but what I really want are some tradition cobra troops and vipers, like the 3 3/4 scale 5 packs they have out. Crimson Guard, Baroness, and Scarlett are top of my list. Why release existing figures they haven't even released that computer nerd on the show yet.

I've been looking at Storm Shadow for a long time and still won't get him. Same reasons, got enough collections going. I saw a Cobra Commander in Meijers a couple weeks ago and almost broke down, but I stayed strong...for now.

Yea I bought a duke awhile back. Havent bought one since. Long range is indeed tempting, though his sniper looks too big for my liking. realisticly sized weapons are more thing. Thats really the only reason I have been able to so easily pass these figures up. Tunnel Rat was also appealing, till I saw him in person. Tunnel Ape is more like it, his arms are freaking huge. Long Range will probably be mine in a few days though, regardless of his sniper he just looks too badass for me not to get...

Long Range would make a nice wolverine custom IMO.
