I gave in yesterday while in a comic shop and bought the Spaceman deluxe kit thinking 'Well, I might as well check out where Xevoz comes from!' So earlier I assembled it and played with it a little. I can now officially say I will not be going the Stikfas way if/when Xevoz ends. I wasn't impressed at all to say the truth. Sure it looks great (love the simplicity of the design of these figs) and they have the ball joint articulation going, but still I think the scale is what's not working for me. They're way too small. Now don't get me wrong, I knew they were. But they're even smaller than what I saw on pictures. I'm glad others like them more than I do though. Gotta keep 'em alive! One other major factor that made me dislike them a little is the assembling part. I realised that this cutting the parts and then trimming the excess plastic process is quite time consuming and boring to be honest. These are definitly aimed at collectors. Imagine...if a kid has trouble with assembling a Xevoz figure, don't *ever* give him/her a Stikfas kit. You'll just be wasting money. Better to keep the figure for yourself I do however love the packaging. The ziploc bag and all. It's great. The presentation too. Ah well, not buying Stikfas, at least that'll be less money spent I suppose. Even if it's not my cup of tea, I can still understand exactly why some are crazy about them

[glow=red,2,300]i agree completely. i forked out for the first generation stikfa when it came out. it was too small, over priced, and even when properly cut from the tree, it left marks. i just was not pleased. then the generation two figure came out, the one with the "extra" joints, and it didn;t float my boat. i gave both away. this was even before i picked up a discount priced pair of xevoz from the local kaybees. it's like night and day. xevoz were a lot better than the stikfas in my opinion. the scales were too small for me, even smaller than my gundam msia universe. the only stikfa figure that i kept and am please with is the mechana robot figure. that is one seriously cool proportioned toy. but any other stikfa, i'll pass.[/glow]

Well, I just got my first Stikfas in the mail. I ordered the Mechana Segmented Robot. WOW, These things are very, very small LOL. I knew they would be smaller, but not like G.I. Joe small. I guess I should be grateful that they aren't M.A.S.K. small, lol!
Well, I have to say that I'm not disappointed with this little guy, but I don't think that other sets are this interesting in the line. I was fortunate to pick him up for 5 bucks on ebay. I'm going to take another stab at another Stikfas fig to see what I think about 'em. I'll keep ya posted.

I just opened my Delta Boy which I got with Mechana from Ent Earth. I agree w/ GrayFox, very nice presentation, with the beautifully stylish packaging and postcards, but when I put the fig together, I was underwhelmed by his size and the little marks the flash left. Spoiled by Xevoz, I guess! Delta Boy does make a nice little desk ornament... but so does QuickSlinger. I'm thinking that you need to own a bunch of these to actually really care for them. I'm not totally impressed, but who knows? Now that the Xevoz collection is complete, I may turn my attn to these little guys.

I just bought my first one yesterday while looking for xevoz remains at a local toy store. GOt the Armored Knight with Stallion for $15.99. Probably overpaid. But I'm curious & the fact that I have not seen a single stikfas figure for a loong time. No xevoz though. = ( Im in the process of assembly with a nail clipper & a nail file.

But I'm curious & the fact that I have not seen a single stikfas figure for a loong time. No xevoz though. = ( Im in the process of assembly with a nail clipper & a nail file. Don't feel bad. I paid $20 for the original beta female with black dragon at (no pun intended) Dragon*Con which was way overpriced. Unfortunately, this was the only time I've ever saw one in person so I snagged it. Yep, they're small. I use pairs of needle-nosed pliers to put most of the joints together 'cause my fingers were just too danged big! I do like some Stikfas and will probably buy a few more (like the dinosaur ones), but I think the major difference is in production quality and quantity. Stikfas has got the ideas and inspriration in abundance, but manufacturing (i.e., cutting the pieces loose) and lack of availability leaves me a bit cold. Hasbro hasn't had too many original ideas since the 70s but has the manufacturing processes down cold. Xevoz had bigger pieces = bigger balls (again, no pun intended ) joints = easier to put together. I never felt like I was going to snap off a joint when putting a Xevoz toy together, Stikfas I treated with kid gloves.

The figure looks nice. But I almost broke a joint when attempting to pull off a part. Im not ver impressed with the quality of the materials. I may buy the Legionare if I ever see it & thats it.
