So after class one day, I decided to swing by a K-Mart in the area on my way home, just to see if I found anything. Well, they had SOME stuff. They had 2 Sledge Troopers, one Inferno Fury, and a whole lot of Waves 1 and 2 two-packs.
What really got me were the prices (and I've always noticed K-Mart has terrible prices...) The ST and IF packs were on "clearance", and were priced at $12.00, with the original price being $12.99. The two packs were "on sale" for $17.99, after originally being $20.99.
[sarcasm]Gee K-Mart...thanks for going out of your way to give me a good deal...[/sarcasm]
And they wonder why they're getting their ass kicked by Wal-mart and Target...

I picked up my MIP Storm Wing from them a few weeks ago for $7.49 so I really can't complain too much.

Wow, those are the highest prices on the two-packs I have heard of yet (excluding eBay). Not only do they have crappy, messy selections, their prices are also jacked through the roof? No wonder I never shop there.[/b]

Well, I went in telling myself that I would be willing to pay retail price for anything RARE. A Storm Wing for $7.49 is fine. BUT, charging $12.00 for a figure that I can buy in KB for $2.50 is ridiculous. And having the nerve to discount it by a "generous" $0.99 is what really frustrated me. I mean, that doesn't even make sense from a business perspective. $12 and $12.99 are pretty much perceived to both be $12. They should have at least discounted it to $11.99.
But you know what, it's not just this that pisses me off about K-mart. I've gone there a handful of times looking for things and left in a huff because they price EVERYTHING too high. What I can buy at Wal-mart for $5 K-mart charges $13 for.
It's also just a nasty store to go into. As far as apprearances go, Target is the best, in my opinion.
But like I said before, they wonder why they don't do as well as the other two...

I got a tomb wraith there too so I'm glad they carried Xevoz regardless of how the store is ran or looks. Wal-mart really isn't much cleaner, well stocked, or maintained around here anymore. Target is the best IMO too, but their stock here never included wave 3 boosters so they get points subtracted for that.
As for the prices I could care less if they overcharge for deluxes to two packs a couple of dollars because they probably have to to stay afloat. I didn't need them so I don't care. I think those prices are still much better than buying from scalpers and dishonest online retailers.
Yes, K-mart has been slow to discount Xevoz but to be fair they were the last major retailer to stock them. I'm sure they'll cut bait on them too in the next few months. Maybe in a few months I'll feel like buying wave 1 and 2 again by then.

Target is the best IMO too, but their stock here never included wave 3 boosters so they get points subtracted for that. Other then Target, I have never found wave 3 deluxes and boosters in B&M stores, how ironic is that? I have never checked K-Marts, but KB Toys, and three Wal-Marts I checked all are Xevoz-less.[/b]

Hmmm, I guess it depends on the store really. A while ago, I happened to find two Preda Crawler vs. Cryo Katana sets at a K-Mart that were originally priced at about $20. Yeah, that was rough, but they reduced the price down to $17, then later to $12. An $8 dollar reduction is quite good and considering how rare this two pack was graudally becoming, I picked them both up.
I definitely agree about their prices though. Of all the local retailers, I've found their prices to be the highest compared to KB, TRU, Walmart & Target... Of Course, it would be great if the latter two still had Xevoz inventory, but *sigh* what can ya do?
