Anybody here from Long Island, New York? Or even the five boroughs? I've yet to see even a hint of wave 2 out here. Just tons of wave 1 warming pegs at Toysrus and Target.
I'm jealous that the rest of the country is getting stuff. I'm tempted to buy online but the prices plus shipping are prohibitive.
Hasbro tends to tick me off. I've encountered the same hassles with Star Wars, where stores never seem to order enough of what people want but order tons of peg warmers. Though I quit SW because whenever you ask when something is coming out you get a look like you're an alien. I also found out that some employees raid all the figures even before they hit shelves.

Man NY must really stink for Xevoz collectors, if no one's replying to my post. Anybody from NY out there?
I really dislike Hasbro, collecting the SW Clone Wars figures(the originals, not the cartoon ones) was a nightmare. It's either that Hasbro suckers stores into ordering too much peg warmers or the retailers are completely clueless.

I'm not from NY, but I think there are a few on the board that are. Maybe they just didn't see the post

HEY HEY HEY!! I'm from NY, and GF is right, I didn't see the post I'm from CNY actually, Xevoz hasn't been too bad around here, later then other areas and quite sporadic but I'm all caught up except for Iron Spectre As a toy collector in NY for the past 12 years I know all too well that NY has always been plauged by getting things in late, it's the curse of living in NY

[glow=blue,2,300]CJK, I'm from CNY too! The Syracuse area, more specifically. I agree, Xevoz tend to show up kind of randomly in my area, that's why I get the majority of my Xevoz online.[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Chris, did you finally decide to pick some up online or did you actually find some wave 3 in the stores? I don't think anyone else has found the boosters or masters in the stores except for IS. If you found them in store, do you mind saying where?
thanks, ~SS~[/glow]

Not to speak for CJK, SS, but I think that he may be referring only to what has actually been showing up in stores, at least I think, or at least that's what I took it as, then again I may be wrong, and CJK may haven given in to the power of the mighty temptation induced by the on-line toy store virus .

Ah good some NYer's finally chiming in! I did a toy run yesterday and today and picked up(by the way there's way too many abbreviations on this board): 2x Hypershocks 6.99each+tax of course 2x Dune Stingers 6.99 2x Sky grinders 9.99 2x Iron Spectre with case 24.99 1x Moonstalker vs Hemogoblin 14.99 2x Transcorchers 19.99 Yeah yeah I know I blew quite a bit. Now if it wasnt for the hassle of driving all over the place, I would almost just almost admit it was worth it.
In the interest of kicking off this thread and trying to help fellow Xevoz collectors I shall share my findings and hope others do the same.
I am located practically in the heart of the Island, I've never tried a NYC store.
Best places for Xevoz wave 1: All Targets: Grade A+ Toys R Us: A+++++++++++(This is not a good thing, there's waaay too many boosters at most stores)
Best places for Xevoz wave 2: Regular Target: F Greatland:B Toys R Us: F
Observations: TRU: I've mostly experienced disappointment, frustration, wasted time, and wasted gas just to seeing pegs of wave one stuff. However, certain items seem to only appear at TRU. First off Omega guard and Grim Skull. Second, Moonstalker vs Hemo, though I only saw this once, though I didn't feel like hitting any more TRUs. Finally Transcorcher rings up as a "PROMO", which indicates it might be an exclusive. However I have not seen a single Iron Spectre. However TRU stores are not consistent in their "specials" Thus going to TRU seems to be like rolling a die. I think TRU is totally clueless, no wonder even though they're a dedicated toy store they're getting slaughtered by everyone else.
Targets: I don't know if it's my timing. But every regular Target had nothing but wave 1 while Greatlands had wave 1,2 excluding Moon stalker, plus the Iron spectre.
Final Thoughts: Even though it was great to have finally found wave 2 in decent quantites. I am scared that wave 3 and 4 won't be hitting shelves any time soon. There's just so much wave 1 clogging up shelves.
My question to toy collectors. Do stores order new waves even if they're clogged up with older waves?
My other concern is shortpacking. I really hope Hasbro doesn't do this for Xevoz like Star wars. That means certain figures will be really painful to find. If they do this I'll resort to online sales and only buy one copy of a figure. Plus cut back on which figures I actually pick up. Hey I want to support Xevoz but I'm sick of the effort it takes to get hard to find figures. Going to TRU and Target where people are clueless about what you're talking about, plus mysterious shipping dates just adds insult to injury.

Wow, lots of posting going on here First off Shane, you're more then welcome to speak for me, I've never known you to be wrong before and you sure weren't this time either I still haven't given in to the online temptation though, I'm trying to save up some money because I'm moving in September and between renting 2 apts for 1 month and needing new tires it's not such a bad idea for me to wait until all that's over with and just pick up wave 3 at retail. Damn real world is always interfering with my toy fantasy world whahappen: Dude!! I'm in Liverpool to be exact, used to live over in East Syracuse/ Dewitt area though. Up until a few weeks ago I used to work at the TRU in Clay so if you ever wandered in there we may have crossed paths at some point in time. mach9ny: To answer a few of your final thought qyuestions, based on my experience at TRU if the shelves are clogged with old waves new waves will not show up. Basically because, well let's do an example: Xevoz Basic Boosters have the SKN # of 033238, every case of Basic Boosters gets that SKN slapped on it regardless of wave. So if the layout of the store calls for 3 cases of 033238 or 24 figures the warehouse will send whatever 033238 cases they have to keep that count accurate. It doesn't matter to them what's in the case, just that it has the 033238 SKN on it. I figured this out when we were sold out of new SW figs and they started sending us cases of figs from '01 and '02. Figures that should have been clearanced long ago are still being sent out at full retail price because the SKN hasn't changed. To the computer 2 year old figures are just the same as 2 month old figures It's a really crappy system but from my experience at TRU no one really gives a crap As for the short packing, over the course of the first 3 waves Hasbro has been heavily packing Neos and short packing the rest. During the first wave it really din't matter because we were still getting at least 2 of each fig because there were only 3 different figs in the case. The problem that's arrising now with wave 3 is that there are 6 different figs in the case and 2 new Neos who they are going to pack heavy. So technically there are 4 short packed figs in wave 3. The good thing however is that they are carrying figures over from one wave to another so every fig whether it's short packed or not is packing out for 2 waves. Now obviously I have no way of knowing this for sure but if they continue on the current trend in wave 4 we will see 7 different figs and one new Neo (Hyper Guardian) so my bet is we'll have 2 HG's per case and 6 short packed figs. It's not all that bad in the sense that we are getting a large variety, the problem is if a store only gets one case the first collector to happen across them wipes out almost the entire case

CJK: Thanks Chr...errr...CJK, I assumed that you were still living under the "trying to be patient and conserve funds rule" like me, but I still try not make assuptions or speak for others too often . If I weren't as frugal of an individual, and as generally cautious about letting my ATM and/or Credit card info fly about, as I am, I would be jumping on more of the on-line ordering myself. But then, sometimes "the hunt" and subseqent "find" is part of the whole fun of being a collector. Then again, there is certainly something to be said for having things just arrive at your doorstep (and especially as quickly and efficiently as others have recieved them)... ...but I digress... ...alas, you see patience is also a virtue, my friends, and by continually testing my patience with waiting for something that is so relatively trivial in the bigger scheme of life (the universe and everything), I develope a whole aspect of my psyche, what one may call strength of will, what another may refer to, as character . Ahhh...the Tao of Toy collecting.... Mach 9: As far as being "scared" about new waves showing up soon, there really is no cause for alarm. We (meaning the US, and some other parts of the world that follow the whole westernized Christmas affair) are in the process of gearing up for the Christmas season. First off, it appears that many manufacturers have cut back on distributing as much new toy product. This is quite probably for a number of factors, including but certainly not limited to retailer demand. Which is affected by the current state of US and global financial markets. This is on more levels and in more ways than I care to discuss at the moment (and that many people would even want to or be able to get into the width, breadth, and depth of on a toy forum ), but we'll just say in every way from shipping to materials to manufacturing right up to the end consumer. That consumer not being just the relatively small (in a global scale) community of serious and vocal toy collectors that find refuge on the myriad of toy boards around the net. What this means, in essence, is that the toy manufacturers have essentially focused the large part of this half years distributing efforts, of new product, into the upcoming seasonal Christmas gluteny. In the case of Xevoz that should amount to two waves of product, one big one (with refreshers) for the back to school shopping and early bird Christmas shoppers, one smaller (with refreshers) for the Black Friday (the day after the U.S. Thanksgiving, FYI) and beyond period. Most Targets are ready to begin resetting their aisles this week or next (a few started early, last week), and all Meijer stores should be gearing up to reset within the next few weeks (some are right now, some will be very soon), with Wal-Mart **shudders** (and incidentally, any of the other large stores with "seasonal toy" departments) should also be gearing up to recieve new "Christmas season" product in the very near future. All that being said, you can probably expect to start seeing wave 3 (with wave 2 refreshers for those of you that missed out) becoming more readily available in the Brick and Mortar stores (herin referred to as B&M) within the next 2 weeks to a month. So, again, there really is no reason to "worry" or be "scared" per se'. The "early bird" collectors have determined that they have the funds and the desire (or the need due to locale) to order as soon as these sweet little morsels of toy goodness show their pretty little faces on-line. As for the problems that B&M collectors have had with finding wave 2, these should not be much of a concern during the coming months since most stores stay well stocked in toy product during the holiday buying season. Worst case scenario, a store may be behind for another two weeks or so (up to 1 1/2 months), while clearing out the old stock. By that point, no matter what, all of the stores should be stocking a ton of new toy product, including wave 3 Xevoz, with wave 4 only a couple of months behind. In the end, really, the only thing that one needs to "worry" about is making sure that one has enough cash in the coffers to afford everything as it starts pouring out onto the shelves. ;D

Kick ass post Shane! Very informative. I like it! I imagine the same goes for Canadian stores too. at least I hope so. This would be a great time for canadian retailers to start carrying xevoz.

Granted I'm not from Long Island but this is the closest thing I have to a CNY thread Anyway I swung by Target today and picked myself up a Crypt Curse, it was the only new fig they had but they did have a Dune Stinger in the new packaging so I guess that means they had the rest of wave 3 as well. I'm quite suprised that they already showed up in this area but I'm not going to complain ;D

Haven't posted in awhile because I was fasting(sacrificing) entertainment websites for a month. Though only a Christian would understand what I'm talking about.
Anyway Wave 3 has hit New York. I got everything except !@#$ Storm wing. Unfortunately for Long Islanders, only Targets in the city or close to it get any wave 3. Toys R US has really bad service and as someone said doesn't restock new waves. You would think as a toy store they would be better. Walmart I didn't check due to an almost disaster, which has led to swear off driving around like a nut and just use online ordering.
I have to thank God for my well being. I almost got into a car accident. I think it was my fault. It was must have been one of those intersections where they allow left turns first I think, it happened too quickly. I must have gone early and nearly rammed a car if it wasn't for my brakes. Of course this being new york the other driver got out and gave me a f@#K you idiot. If it wasn't for my new car with nice new stop on a dime brakes, which I got after my previous car being firebombed(long story), I would have gotten physical damage instead of verbal and mental, plus if it was my fault a nasty mark on my insurance.
And guess what distracted me? Getting to Walmart to find Storm wing. you shall not have false idols.
Well I'm swearing off toy hunting and switching online. Uses too much gas, too much risk of car accidents from driving all over the place, and finally the constant frustration of empty shelves. Service in toy stores and departments has gone out the window also. I thought Xevoz collecting would be better than Star Wars, but now the experience is getting just as painful. I'm going online for my collecting. Unfortunately, I'll have to cut back a lot on how much Xevoz I get since the prices are much higher.
Well that's the only update I have from NY. I hope you people elsewhere have a toy collecting experience where they don't have to drive far and always find most of what they're looking for. I guess NY just has too many people to make toy collecting a pleasant past rather than a rat race. By the remember also, don't go crazy over these piecies of plastic like I did. They won't pay for your car repairs.
