[glow=red,2,300]its called the Spider-Man Classics Series 12 superposable spiderman. i have not seen this guy yet, or even knew this guy existed. maybe because i haven't really focused on spiderman as much as on marvel legends.
the only downfall to this figure for me, according to the review is the head is not as posable as the spiderman 2 figure. but what is one joint, right? i am now on my way to hunt this mcfarlane spiderman. [/glow]

I got lucky and found that one right after he came out. It's probably one of the best Spidey figures I've seen. Rupert - you hardly notice the lack of a neck joint.
highly recommended if you're a spidey fan.

[glow=red,2,300]i went over to my local walmart right now, and there it was. bought it, opened it in the car, and whoa. it is one good figure. and Lobsterman, you can not really tell the neck is missing a joint. the lack of a joint at the ankle that lets the foot tilt doesn't bother me either. i like it. i recommend it to. the proportions are very nice; very mcfarlane.[/glow]

How is the base/accessory that comes with the figure? It seems to be quite big. Can it be wall mounted?

Found him for $7.99 plus tax at TRU. Only 2 left (now one I guess) when I went there this afternoon.

... and my plans are fulfilled. WOW! This Spider-Man fig has to be the best Spider-Man fig I've ever owned. I really enjoy the likeness to the comics I used to collect and the posability is just fab! These almost make me want to get some more ML figs.
Almost..

Let me then ask all you webheads--If I were to only get one spidey figure to battle alongside Blanka, which one would you recommend?

Randy, like I said, I've seen a lot of Spidey figs in my time, but this is by far the best fig that I have seen, period. You won't be disappointed if you get a superposeable Spider-Man.
I'll be glad to post pics to help you get a better sense of this fig, but it's way to late now. I'll take some shots in the morning.
