Been a while since I've seen Ol' Bumblebee re-done. They didn't do a bad job and adding that jetski was a nice touch. Thanks for the link!

It doesn't even bother me anymore that Bumblebee's not a VW bug. Ideally, I'd prefer that he remain that way, of course, but the new alt mode suits him just as well. Like I've already said, I think this is the best treatment that Bumblebee has received in action figure form. It looks like his designer(s) borrowed heavily from the Alternators Bumblebee concept art that was making its rounds on the internet a while back.
As things stand, I currently plan to pick up each one of these TFs when they hit the shelves. In fact, this is the most excited I've been about Transformers toys since I was a kid. The one thing that bothered me most of all when I was growing up was the extremely limited amount of articulation. For example, I never saw any good reason as to why G1 Optimus Prime's legs couldn't be moved forward. Also, I was severely disappointed when I got Hot Rod, only to discover that his arms were articulated only at his elbows.
Even though it's only considered to be a "filler" line, the TF Classics figures that have been shown thus far are the closest I've ever seen to being the way that I've always wanted my favorite G1 characters to be represented in toy form. I hope that Classics does well enough for Hasbro to decide to continue the line alongside the movie toys, etc., etc., just as they have done with the Alternators and Universe toys in relation to the Energon and Armada cartoon shows. I'd like to see the line go beyond "filler" status for the sole reason that there are many more characters that I'd like to see updated in this manner before it's over.

Ultra Magnus anyone? Or maybe we can get a real Arcee.

I agree with what you've said Quiller. I think I'll also be picking up this line and I'd really like to see your eventual re-paint of Megatron. Who knows though, they may even re-release him using a paintstyle close to what you are planning. They've been repainting figures and re-releasing them all through out the history of this toy line. Articulation - Yeah, very big for me. That's part of the reason I really wanted to see Transformer's ala Xevoz, even if it was just in robot mode with no transformation, but I can understand the arguement that it takes the whole feature away from a Transformer if it can't do the very thing it's defined as. But I tell you what, if they re-did Actions Masters today with as much articulation as your common day ML fig, .. three words - OH MY GOODNESS! I guess I'll be waiting to see how this one comes out.

Since every version of Megatron has also been released as Galvatron since the year 2001, I'm willing to bet that we'll see a repaint of the Classics Megatron too. And you never know what the color scheme will be - we've seen white, light purple, dark purple, and silver/black for all of those Galvatrons.
I do recall reading that Hasbro sometimes plans for repaints far in advance, so one never knows...

I think I'll also be picking up this line and I'd really like to see your eventual re-paint of Megatron. As soon as I get it done, I'll be sure to post a picture here. My plan is to get rid of the green and purple, and replace them with Megatron's classic G1 color scheme of silver/gray, black, and red. I've already started on a loose digibash in Photoshop in order to get my plans laid out in advance. I'd be 100% on board if your idea of Xevoz-style TFs were realized. I know a lot of people hated Action Masters, but I definitely wasn't one of them. I didn't like the idea that the Transformers had lost the ability to Transform, but I just ignored that concept. To me, they were simply better articulated and more cartoon-accurate versions of their transforming versions that came with transforming vehicles or accessories, and they offered different types of play value in areas that the G1 TFs lacked. (And vice versa.) To me, Action Masters combined the types of playability available in lines like G.I. Joe and M.A.S.K. with my beloved G1 TF characters. Action Master Optimus Prime didn't replace or invalidate the transforming OP, he coexisted peacefully alongside him. We might be in the minority, but I'm right there with you in thinking that hyper-articulated TFs in the tradition of Marvel Legends would be amazingly awesome. That having been said... I guess I'll be waiting to see how this one comes out. I'm looking forward to the Revoltech line in general, and decided to go ahead and preorder DMC III's Dante, Shin Getter Robo, and all three of the NGE Eva units. That being the case, I'm definitely planning to pick up Optimus Prime. As soon as he's available for preorder, I also plan to add Megatron to my queue. As you probably already know, an Energon OP is also in the works, but I'll probably pass on that one. (Unless he turns out to be exceptionally cool, of course!) Meanwhile, I'm hoping that other G1 characters will see Revoltech releases somewhere down the line. Between the MP-03 Masterpiece Starscream, the TF Classics, the 6" transforming TF Titaniums, and the Revoltech versions of Optimus Prime and Megatron, it looks like it's gonna be one hell of a year to be a Transformers fan. ;D

Man, I'm so all over this one, it's not even funny. It's a thing of beauty.
Looking at MP3-Starscream makes my heart bleed a little. This is what I was expecting his movie form to look more like. Awesome.

I don't know if some of you are aware or not, but the MP-03 is being re-issued as a repaint of the Starscream colors we're more fond of through Walmart. Just like how MP-01 made an appearance at Walmart and Target stores, the same is being done for MP-03. tformers.com/ig.php?mode=view&album=7984&pic=DSCF1668.JPG&dispsize=800&start=200Don't wait till November though as some various sites speculate as early as next month.
