I'm on this one, mark my word.
BTW, have you seen the most recent pics of the upcoming Transformers Classics line? Starscream looks amazing. Hell, I think they all look great. This line will just about erase my numerous disappointments in Armada, Energon, and Cybertron. I can't wait till they hit the shelves...

The new Masterpiece figures look amazing! They look like the animated characters and still transform?
I've kept an eye on the Energon, Armada, and Cyberton series and didn't see anything that I couldn't live without. Well, except for Unicron because ... it's Unicron. ;D
They're a bit pricey. Has anyone gotten the Optimus or Ultra Magnus and reviewed it?
~still holding on to my G1 Transformers~

Haven't really done anything in a review cause I just don't generally review figs, but those two are amazing. No real difference other than color, so if you like one, you'll like the other.

I did a google and think I saw an Astrotrain?

If I was a club member, I'd gladly share them with you...

They didn't remain exclusive for very long. Here's the link: www.hasbro.com/transformers/default.cfm?page=news&newsid=70BEDAAE-D56F-E112-412B14A6033C14A1That's everything that was shown to the Transformers Club, with the addition of Megatron. The only thing that Hasbro didn't include in the "wide release" of the pictures are a couple of silhouettes of a "Mystery 'Bot" in robot and alt modes. Personally, I think it's Bumblebee. Grimlock, Jetfire, and Soundwave are also listed for inclusion in this line. ;D

The exclusive pictures have been released to the TFCC, and the silhouette of the mystery TF is indeed that of Bumblebee. Even though he's no longer a VW Bug, I have to say that I'm very pleased with how he turned out. IMO, this will be the best treatment that the little guy has ever received in action figure form.

Thanks Quiller! Megatron as a Nerf blaster will take some time getting used to, but I can understand the necessity to change his gun mode since it could easily be mistaken for a real gun. Lord only knows what may happen to a kid running around with an imitation Walther P38 these days. They all look nice though. I haven't bought transformers in a long time aside from the Alternator and Masterpiece lines - Do other lines currently use the rub-on insignias or is that just Hasbro being nostalgic? Rodimus (Hot Rod) is perhaps my favorite of the bunch and I like that he has a bit more articulation than previous releases. Can't wait to see what Bumblebee looks like.

The Starscream is cool. I only know him from Armada, I really need to see him in G1. BTW, have you seen the most recent pics of the upcoming Transformers Classics line? Starscream looks amazing. The Classics line is very cool. The past series have been disappointing (especially Energon), but Cybertron has some good figs. The Optimus in that is really cool. However, he's $40 which is rather rediculous.

WOW, are these the versions we'll see in the movie? I'm into buying Hasbro Transformers again!! That prime and StarScream are the best versions of those toys, next to the Takara Masterpiece editions of course. The designers finally decided to make good toys.

I'm pretty sure these TF Classics figures aren't made for the movie, but rather to commemorate the 20th anniversary DVD of TF The Movie. It could be the other way around though. Either way, I'm sure we'll get toys based on the 2007 TF movie when it comes around. These TF Classics toys will do just fine until then

Megatron as a Nerf blaster will take some time getting used to, but I can understand the necessity to change his gun mode since it could easily be mistaken for a real gun. I know where you're coming from, Bleighdzes. I didn't know what to think about Megs at first either, but he's grown on me quite a bit. A little airbrushing to give him a more accurate G1 color scheme, and he'll be just about perfect. (I've already done some quick digibashes to lay out my plans, heh-heh.) I'm not crazy about Megtron's "wing" kibble, but I like everything else about his 'bot-mode design. The head sculpt is looks great, and I'm very happy to see the return of his forearm-mounted fusion canon. Without it, as far as I'm concerned, Megatron's like a horse without legs. Do other lines currently use the rub-on insignias or is that just Hasbro being nostalgic? Aside from the G1 reissues, this is the first time that the rub-insignias have been used in many years. The Classics line is very cool. The past series have been disappointing (especially Energon), but Cybertron has some good figs. I agree. I received Unicron and the small Armada Prime as gifts, and I picked up an Energon Rodimus. Those are the only three figures I have from Armada or Energon. There were a couple of okay figures from those lines--like Energon Galvatron--but I primarily hated both lines. IMO, Energon's Optimus Prime was an abomination, and one of the ugliest Prime toys ever released. Cybertron, on the other hand, has been a marked improvement. I went ahead and picked up Optimus, Galvatron, Soundwave, and Excellion (Hot Rod, to me.). EVentually, I'm going to get the Takara version of Starscream, because I just don't want the Unicron-sized figure that we got here in the States. The Classics, however, are another story. I've been waiting for Transformers figures like these since I was a kid: G1 characters, G1 stylings, and much better designs, sculpts, and articulation than the original line. It's looking like I might become a temporary completist for this line.... You don't know Starscream until you see him in G1 Damn straight, Fox. ;D G1 Starscream was--and always will be--one of the greatest Transformers ever.
