So, having seen the big marketing push for these figures over the last couple of weeks, I have to ask:
Is it just me, or are they not 6-inch scale? If not, that's sheer crap. Gah! I see some characters that maybe I would like to get, but won't because they are on a smaller scale than my other comic figures.
Stupid, rassun=frassun toy company. Grrr.

One thing that I'm wondering is, does Hasbro have the exclusive on Spider-Man 3 movie toys? Where's the Lego sets, for instance?... (Although, of course, so far we've seen far more of the characters than of the set pieces.)

Indeed, the spidey 3 figures are not 6-inch. They are 5inch. that is a pretty stupid move on Hasbro's part since I'm not buying any of these figures. I wanted a movie Venom, but it won't happen. Same with the Fantastic Four 2 figures. 5 inch = No figures for me.

I found it interesting that characters I would have liked to have seen in spider-man 3... 4 are in the Spider-Man 3 movie toy line: The Lizard and Kraven... I find it funny that a character they've set up in the first 2 movies doesn't even get to be on screen. I mean the Lizard is sort of retarded, but I read on imdb that Dylan Baker is reprising his role as Curt Conners in the movie... I guess he plays the role that Mr. Fantastic played in the comics...

I would love to get a hold of a Doombot without paying the prices I've seen. A Dragon Man from the FF Classics line would be nice too, but not for $60+.
And as far as the Hasblow SM3 figures, are you surprised? I'm not. Hasblow believes in Quantity over Quality. I still wanted a Venom even after seeing them, but the one I wanted was $15. That's when I said no.

I just saw the Superhero Squad style SM3 figures. They were pretty cool.

Thats the benefit of doing a lin geared for the 3-5 market. You keep it simple, no gimmiks. Who knew thats what people liked? I'm starting to get my 2 year old steered toward Spiderman and Friends, which he's starting to dig and when the dc Superfriends come out, I wanna get those too.

The Superhero Squad ones are a loophole. Can't get too mad about those. Had to get the Venom pack in those.

Yep, superhero squad figs are neat IMO. I've already bought both Marvel waves and the Venom, Rhino and Doc Ock packs from the spidey 3 wave.

Hadn't seen the Rhino and Doc Ock pack, sounds cool. I want the FF one with Dr. Doom in it coming out.

Yeah, they are simple, still really well detailed, and more articulated than most of McFarlane's figs. Plus you can have an entire army on just one shelf!

FSM: apparently, the Dock Ock and Rhino ones are only available at certain stores, unlike the other spidey 3 superhero squad figs. I found mine in a WalMart.
I'll aso be getting the entire Fantastic Four Wave. I recall seeing a picture of the silver surfer where he was chrome. I hope it'll be that way cause it looked awesome.
