Does anyone rember the name of these figures?

A friend and I were trying to remember the name of these figures that came out in the 80s. They were about 2 inches high. They had animal heads and the bodys were like robotic armor. On there chests were a symbol of water, fire, or a log and were revield when you held your finger on it a minute. It was a kind of paper rock scissors type thing.

If anyone knows please post so I stop driving myself crazy.

Those were Hasbro's Battle Beasts. Back in the day, I thought they were pretty cool.
