"meh" : It's like saying it's "so so" or nothing special, but with a particular twinge of disdain. it's the new "eh" or "I don't care for it"

The ship is really boring to build. More so than other lego sets. Once built, there isn't much special. The only parts that stand out are the huge fans which lack detail. Another thing is stickers. I loathe stickers, especially these kind which are clear except for the design. The alternate version on the back looks better but there are no instructions for it. I'll tackle it later.

Why put such cool pictures on the box if they don't tell you how to build them. Grrrrr Guess I should note, that I normally buy those collector sets (like the mecha, underwater sea set with the shark) etc. They normally have instructions for more then one design. So... is there a way to get instructs for those alternate designs? ie- some hidden website where the people post things like that? Your Number1 Fan

#1FAN you are pathetic, figure out the alternate builds by studying the picture intensely...
just kidding. I mean, I'm no lego genius, but i was able to dupe stuff, even tho it was missing a piece that was non visible. there real trick is to make something completely different but still use every piece in the set!
so question, should I get the new Episode 5 slave1 even tho its just a repaint of the star wars episode 2 slave1? I need some constructive commenting here!

There are some changes to the construction besides color. And it comes with a new Boba Fett (one from Cloud City), IG-88, and Dengar. It's definately worth it. Especially for the Bounty Hunter lover.

Batman, I just actually look more thoroughly at the lego page description, and by jimminy you are right, hells yes I am getting this thing. I've been farely completist about the whole Star Wars lego thing, except for some episode 1 stuff (Watto's junkyard, droid tank, and droid carrier..., and the $300+ large scale stuff). I've decided that I should be making up stuff with legos now, and not making what I'm told to make, so I got the exo-force stuff since the robots look dumb compared to the geniuses at brickshelf. Like, I was highly disappointed by the final showdown episode 3 set, and I pretty much got it to get the anakin and obiwan lightup sword minifigs, what a crappy set. With the TRU deal they had this past week I picked up 2 of the Tricerotops set, as I mentioned in the other lego post. It's a lot of red pieces, but I think I can manage something sweet with some practice. Tell me if you agree it looks like it has some great pieces in it, but then again I'm always judging the toys by the box. Too bad the V-wing comes in that collection, i have 3 jedi starfighters already!

The V-Wing will be sold seperately aswell. I have 2 Jedi Starfighters and am planning on spray painting one red to be Obi-Wan's.

why don't you just get the collection with obiwan's ship premade. Painted legos seem problematic. Do you do the dying stuff that HeyYou(?) and some of the other intense custom builders do here? If anything you should hook it up with the Clone Wars animated purple mace windu jedi star fighter. Can anyone find me links to instructions to (good version) anakin;s podracer colored Jedi Starfighter from season 1 of Clone Wars the animated series? I found this... img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/Gold_2/1x.jpgYeah I'm waiting to see the V-wing in stores, but I went ahead and got the mail set anyways, since i'm impatient and like being broke all the time. I got my slave 1 in the mail!! as well as my exoforce sets... I'm really bummed about the sticker thing too, but I will definitely apply them on. However, my Clone transport ship, the stickers got "cooked" sitting on my window shelf all year, so they curled up and became crispy, falling off sometimes altho I managed to press some back down. That's the worst thing about stickers.

I agree with the sticker thing, man they suck! I know it's probably a cost thing but I prefer the printed on legos by far!

I picked up a couple of the smaller ones. And the big red one for my little sister. Fun stuff. And they have the two sided heads, so you can show the calm face, of the angry, yelling face.

I'm holding out for the "Pull my eyelid down until it tears and stick my tongue out" heads. Side note: Start looking for close out legos at the big stores. The holiday spree is over and Walmart/Target/TRU will start thinning the old stock.

Picked up a few of these during a run across the state involving 7 Wal-Marts, 3 Targets, and 2 TRUs over a period of 2 days while looking for new Transformers. I first saw the sets, thought they looked pretty good, but after seeing them each about 8 times, I had to cave (the TF run was fruitless anyway).
Picked up the two $5 pricepoint sets (Uplink & Sentry) and two $15 mech sets (Stealth Hunter and Thunder Fury).
These things rock, and I will most likely get the other two $15 sets as well as a few more of the $5's.
Articulation is pretty good on each set, surprisingly so for the little ones. The arm articulation suffers, especially with that light-up "tube" that connects to one of the arm weapons which hinders mobility, but the legs are pretty great. Lots of great pieces as well, and the weapons are pretty awesome constructions. I especially like the gatling gun on Thunder Fury's chest.
I dont, however, like the decals as opposed to printed bricks, but I put them all on anyway, as the sets look pretty darn plain without.
I havent purchased a Lego set in years, and I think this line may suck me back in for a little while. I definitely something new to construct now that Xevoz are almost said and done with. I can provide more details for interested parties, but again....I'm no Lego expert, I just know what I like.
I should also note that the alternate models shown for the sets ROCK. Especially for Stealth Hunter...the alt. is called 'Stealth Wasp' and looks like an awesome little drone ship. Havent attempted to build it yet, but I definitely will soon.
