Most of you Tfans probably saw this already, but I thought I'd post it anyway for anyone who missed it. tformers.com/ig.php?mode=album&album=8926&dispsize=800&start=0These are all definite purchases for me. With Sunstreaker being the weakest. Also, I wish Powerglide was a smaller size. Ultra is just too big and doesn't do it for me.

There are newer pics from Hasbro's Toy Fair panel: tformers.com/ig.php?mode=album&album=9024&dispsize=600&start=0Looks cool overall... the Classics 2.0 is certainly a line I'm looking forward to as well. (As with the original Classics, I'm not looking forward to the repaints (the original line repainted Energon Constructicon Maximus as Devastator), although Blaster looks the better of the two. (Also, I'm really hoping the silver helmet for Sunstreaker is nixed for the traditional black.)

Is Blaster supposed to be the stealth fighter or F-101? I like him as an update. Who is the eagle and what is that pod thing it transforms into supposed to be? Who is the deception target master cement mixer supposed to be because I'm not familiar with a generation one deception named Heavy Load. I love the design for Powerglide but the white paint job looks like crap IMO. It would be awesomr in red or even a military color. Is the swat vehicle supposed to be Onslaught from the combaticons? I like him alot. All of the cheaper vehicles look great and are recognizable IMO.

I liked this mold for Soundwave, but the colors this time around don't appeal to me at all. I have no idea who the cement mixer is. All I know is I'll be passing on him. And yes, it's quite sad how they managed to ruin the Powerglide mold with a lame paint job. They should have gone with overall red and a couple white paint apps. I think that would have been better. The Swat truck is indeed Onslaught. I think he looks awesome. It's a bit of a weird alt mode for him, but it's alright. His robot mode rocks. Paint looks good too. The only downside is that he doesn't seem to have combiner points where other future [deluxe] combaticons could attach

They've already made a classics Soundwave? They reissued the original Soundwave in Classics-esque packaging (actually the Soundblaster mold in Soundwave colors), but Classics Blaster is a repaint of Cybertron/Galaxy Force Soundwave.

And here's a few, clearer images... (No, I don't know who the red Laserbeak repaint is supposed to represent.) It represents Hasbro's reluctance to put money into sculpting a new version of one of Blaster's cassettes. Incidently, KidTDragon, are you going to update Almost Comics? (As well as the banner, whose link is simply "http://") Eventually and yes, in that order. (Didn't realize the link was messed up, thanks.)

That's hot. I love the hex die rendition of SteelJaw.

You're welcome, glad to help! (The text link is still "//", by the way.) Fixed that one too. Thanks again. Yeah, I've got that guy's page bookmarked. He does amazing customs. His Blaster puts Hasbro's to shame. That Steeljaw figure still amazes me.

Y'know hasbro really makes this crap very confusing. They do make it confusing. But this time, it's me who wasn't clear enough. Hasbro did re-release G1 soundwave in classics styled packaging, but that's not the mold I was referring to. I was talking about Cybertron Soundwave. I like the Soundwave colors for that mold, but not Blaster's.

Y'know it's the lack of commitment by hasbro that is going to keep this line from being great. This Blaster could have been great but why couldn't they give us that steeljaw and not a repaint of laserbeak that makes no sense whatsoever. I really like the cheaper figures in this line but it's the more expensive figures I see all sorts of inconsistency and cheap cost cutting efforts that turn me off. At one point I thought this would be an I must get everything line and a real definitive transformers gen 1 remake line but it's looking more and more to me like a pick up the gems and leave the coal endeavor for me because Hasbro just isn't commited to providing a true top notch gen 1 revival experience.

This is the most applicable thread to revive considering the subject. I was looking at the Special Edition Universe releases on Hasbro.com, specifically, the Megatron repaint, DragStrip (a Mirage repaint) and Overkill (a Grimlock repaint). DragStrip and Megatron stand out to me as possible purchases, but the re-released Optimus Prime is nothing new. Overkill just doesn't work for me considering he was a dino/tape and now a dino/robo. I'm not too crazy about repaints, but the truth is, Hasbro's been doing this forever. It works with Prowl & SilverStreak, it works with the Seekers and it will work with IronHide and Ratchet (when he's eventually released), to a certain degree. Mirage and Dragstrip,.. I first had doubts but looking at them both, they had similar transformation schemes despite their obvious differences in size & dimensions - front flipping back to reveal a head, arms coming out from the sides, legs extending, etc. My only wish would have been a more accurate head, but it wasn't accurate with G1 toys either. Anybody else care to weigh in on this? www.hasbrotoyshop.com/ProductsByCategory.htm?CD=96&BR=496&src=GENEMHT23555
