I don't collect Street Fighters, but I usually just leave my figs lying around on my desk . When I'm not using my figs I just put them on some shelves. As for display cases, I never used any so i have no advise.

What exactly do you mean by "display cases"? Most people use book shelves or other kinds of shelves for display of loose figures. Might need stands to keep them from falling down or "taking a dive". I hang in the package ones on the wall. I know from the Sota SF figures I have be careful which shelf you choose to put them on. T. Hawk is pretty tall compared to most of the other ones. Blanka is pretty big so it depends on how you pose him. A couple of the girls, Cammy and Chun-Li, have small feet so stands might be best. Vega can be tricky. Man, you have got me wanting to get more of these now.

I know my Vega never stood on its own. So he's leaning on one wall of my bookshelf.

I personally just display stuff on bookcases, mainly because of cost considerations. You can get a large bookcase at WalMart for like $25. If you want to go the more high end route, IKEA is your best bet. They have a product called the 'Detolf' that many collectors use. It is a glass display case that runs around $60 a piece. Not too bad really, but for the amount I would need for my collection, www.jmgbooks.com/toys/tour.html , I just can't afford it!

I just keep all my SOTA dudes on one row of a bookcase I picked up from Craigslist. I think it originally came from IKEA. Take a gander. smg.photobucket.com/albums/v202/Bleighdzes/SOTA/Street%20Fighter/I originally wanted them up high at eye level for me, but then that got disastrous since some would lean forward and take the plummet of death. Yes, usually caused by what others have mentioned - that very incapable Vega - so I moved them to the bottom row.

I have my loose SF figures on a shelf above my desk. The few that are likely to fall over I just pose in such a way that they are more likely to fall backwards instead of diving off the shelf. The other 80+ variants are sealed and hanging on the wall.

Yes, creative posing works best for figures like Vega. And how do they get damaged on the wall? Dust?

If you are looking to display one or two figures, try a doll case, or a basketball display case. If you need to display a lot of stuff, like the others have said, IKEA is your best bet, especially if you don't like dusting.
