I've got a couple of x-pods in the car. I really need to stop playing with them during traffic ;D my desk at my real job is covered wtih Bionicles. And I got my woman the cargo train as a gift, mostly because I'm out of space at my place "See honey, it's something we can do together ;D"
try that one man, see how it works out, just don't go over to her place and build it while she's at work afte you tell het that.

Other than Star Wars, what are everyones favorite sets? What you dont like SWlegos? I used to really like the old castle sets, especially when it was just the old space man helmet with the small visor piece, when horses were horses and not some slammer racing vehicle. The older lines of Castles, and pirates left a little more to the imagination. I feel that with the current lines, Lego is pushing brands like racers/action team/snow whatever and forcing stories upon younger lego users. I think licensing of Star Wars was genious, I guess with Harry Potter too, I would like to see Star Trek legos, but the sets would be ridiculously big or not, I'm no super trekkie, but i think it would be great to have a Kirk and Picard minifig. With all that in mind, I really liked the old Blacktron space series. That set had great parts, great colors: black and yellow and transparent yellow, and really led itself to awesome creations, whereas the sets now, like the snow, etc, have really specialized pieces which have low customization value. I like making the vehicles in SW sets, because its SW, but with the other sets, I could care less and want to make my own stuff. I wish I had pictures of the cool stuff I made with my friends Blacktrons way back in the day... The large fortress sets are particular good examples of a set that has many useless pieces. The space sets used to rock, now they use huge plastic pieces that cant be used for anything (like the first edition of the millenium Falcon.) I did like the Johnny Thunder sets, well the early ones at least. Where there was the entire Indiana jones thing going on. Such a Indy rip off, but great nonetheless. I love my lego mummy. Unfortunately they veered away from the old vehicles and tophat wearing Nazi interogators and had the jurassic Park line. Old vehicles, Lego could have a great steampunk line. Then the oriental expedition... with FU MAN CHU, I'll have to get that, but it comes with some nasty boardgame. Which is even worse the the Xevoz game (yes I know some of you like that aspect but those pieces are a waste of plastic) Other legos: The odd monsters train, with the vampire, werewolf, Frankensteins monster and ghost or something. So weird... The train sets have appealled to me... but no real space for that. If it was a SW train... maybe, or They should have a Galaxy Express licensing deal. The creator sets seem like good move. Lego has the flexibilty to try new sets and directions, but I don't care for the action/snow/space mining themes, or Bionicle... and don't get me started on Belville. and looking at Galidor... Thank goodness for Xevoz... Galidor had some show too... which I think was made in Canada... which I didnt see, but it looked dumb. And the giant lego knights figs... not enough pegs on them to do anything cool. I think Lego is missing something with these guys. There is something nice about the joints, but something is still off on the whole thing. Someone must be getting fired at Lego over some of these ideas, altho Bionicle must be doing well... I wish I had some sales figures. I know everyone on this board has a least once, maybe just for a second dreamed at working at lego, just making sets all day... I KNOW IT, don't lie. Sorry for the rambling, but as you can see I love the legos.

Ah yes, i forgot. i actually got some of those sets, pretty much just for the minifigs. SO I have spiderman, peter, aunt may, mj, green goblin and doc oc... Unfortunately it's the movie license. So i'll never get my lego Venom, Chameleon, silver Sable etc.... These spider-man movie line is a great addition tho. Altho I must say the minimate Punisher is pretty tight... for a minimate. (don't hate me I'm not a shocktini fan!)

Mega Blocks? Talk about low quality That they are. But if you want Marvel LEGO type figures, Mega Blocks is pretty much the only option. You could always do some LEGO customizing though. And besides, Mega Blocks mini Venom isn't that good looking.

I remember seeing a LEGO pizza place quite a few years ago. I always wanted it. It looked SO cool. The set even came with a delivery van! I have that one. ;D I liked all of the sets before late 2003. Then Bionicle started swarming. Literally. (the Bohrok) Now, LEGO doesn't look back into the past, they just make stuff from movies and crap. I wish they would bring back the monorail...

I remember before I moved to England my brother had a pirate boat I was fond of. We still have a 4x3x3 crate somewhere full of the things. I think, though, that the Robin Hood/Knight castle sets are my favorite. So simple and fun. *sigh*
