I just saw the boosters up close for Wave 3..... and boy do they SUCK!! These have to be the worst little figs I've seen in a while. It was disappointing to see how these ended up! What I can never understand is how the end product changes from the display prototype on Toybiz's website (which looks good) to the crap that ends up on the peg hooks. Wave 1's starter pack was good. For being tiny, I thought they did a great job of giving details for Spidey, Thing, Hulk and Wolverine. The booster packs for Wave 1 were also good, not like their protos, but still passing. The only difference was Doc Ock and Ghost Riders head was a bit tiny, but still decent. This is where the gradual decline in quality began - with Doc Ock and Ghost Rider. Wave 2 Starter packs - Colossus was the only disappointment - he looks good, but the pelvis connecting with the abdomen was proportionally off. Magneto was good. I never got around to getting Mr. Fantastic and the Mole, but after seeing Wave 3, I'm now thinking why I should even bother. Boosters: Captain America - complete mess again in the same area. Sadly, he looks more proportional with his pelvis rotated backwards. The rest are just passing. Riders: Namor was perhaps the best in the line. I got Wolverine and he's okay. I haven't picked up Ghost Rider yet, but that's not an indication of preference or dislike for the fig, I just didn't get around to it, but again after seeing wave 3, .... Wave 3 Boosters - Let's put it this way: when I saw them at KB, I just left the store and didn't think twice about passing on buying them. This could be enough to make me just give up on the whole line. Something has happened to Toybiz recently where the quality of their work has taken a turn for the worst. I recall someone on this board mentioning their disappointment with a recently released Marvel Legends line not too long ago. I can totally sympathize with what I saw recently. I just can't understand how the production quality goes from good to bad. Usually, it's supposed to be the other way around, or at least good to better, but Toybiz is seriously not following the recommended path. If they continue in this trend, good luck pinching a dollar out of my pocket.
