Hi All, It's been a while since I've posted here, but I saw an interesting article highlighting an upcoming Japanese toy line called "Assemble Borg". Apparently the line is kind of a spin off from the Revoltech line by the same company. They are creating completely original characters and vehicles for the line that all utilize swapable parts. While the lines designs resemble microman more than Xevoz, I couldn't help but think some of you on here might be interested in checking these out. Here's the article: www.figures.com/databases/action.cgi?setup_file=cjtnews2.setup&category=cooljt&topic=5&show_article=80Be sure to check out all 3 pages. There are "next" buttons on the bottom of each page, and the first time I checked out the article I missed them.

They do look pretty cool. Price point and availability might be the only issues when deciding to collect them or not. I got a few of Microman released through Diamonds, but grew dissapointed with how easy their joints broke. Still have to try Revoltech, but I have yet to come across a model that catches my attention and that is reasonably priced. Cool to see what's coming though.

I collect quite a few Japanese import lines, so I'm already used to paying higher prices for figures. However these might actually be a little cheaper than revoltechs considering that they don't have to pay royalties to any other company for the characters. Also they seem to have almost the same body design, so I'm sure that will cut the cost down as well.
I have a couple revoltechs, and I can tell that these will actually be a bit better since they utilize the revolver joint for every point of articulation. Most revoltechs only utilize that joint on the elbows, knees, ankles, and head. These will add an extra bit of double joints to the torso, waist, and wrists. I certainly am excited about them. I'll let you know when I hear more about release dates, and prices.

It's like Microman, Xevoz, and Revoltech had a baby together.

I recall seeing these in some posts from some toy show earlier in the year, probably on the toy fair site. I couldn't place the characters at all, so hearing that these are just random original characters that they plan to bring out to make a new line explains a few things for me.
Already owning a few revoltechs, I'd be willing to get some of these. For what they are, they aren't bad at all.

I think this looks pretty nice... The design kind of looks like a spin off of Konami's Zone Of The Enders orbital frame designs... Sort of biological machines... I'm a sucker for that idea... However, I think that Busou Shinki is going to be the way to go for me... The designs are great: www.collectiondx.com/node/1190

This line does look very promising. It's really a mix of Microman and Xevoz. I noticed a lot of 'plugs' on the vehicle parts so they'll be easy to incorporate on the figures themselves. One thing that's bothering me a little is that there doesn't seem to be any 'plugs' on the figures' limbs. In many pictures, you see characters with a gun instead of an arm, but nobody having a gun *attached* to his arm. Think Megatron for example..I'd like to have his arm with his fusion cannon. Not just a fusion cannon as an arm. Hopefully they'll have plugs in the limbs. Unless they do and I'm just blind.
I'm definitely interested in getting some of these. Like others have said, price points and availability will be the deciding factors. One thing's for sure, that big mech with driver on the last page rocks!

Meh... too microman for me. Some of the mech stuff is real cool but the base figures are just a brightly colored generic body (albeit super posable one). It's probably going to be big time expensive as well. I'll probably pass.
