[glow=aqua,2,300]....to catch on with kids, then they need to consider doing a promotion with McDonald's Happy Meals. This is just what is needed to get a buzz with the kids and get them into these up until now obscure toys.
Sure, the toy inserts would be have to be scaled back quite a bit and there would not be a ton of accessories like we usually see in the full booster kits. But scaled midget sized versions (yet pieces still interchangeable between the the HM versions) of some a cool mini meta-beast, Hyper Fury, Bio Mech, Sectiod, Unnatural and Neo Sapien characters might be just what it would take to get a ton of kids into these toys. Add a few well thought out and cool acessories with one funny gag piece and you have a winner.
If that idea is undoable then perhaps they could even go with 2 full sized figures that you have to get all the different toy packs to assemble the 2 characters? That way these figures can swap pieces with actual store bought Xevoz toys.
Add a coupon for a dollar off or maybe a bonus send away offer for the full sized Xevoz acessory kit in a paper insert type mini catalog and I think this is a winner idea for Hasbro and McDonalds. What do you guys think?

as much as i hate mcdonalds, i think that second suggestion might work.
if they put a whole fig in each meal, they would really have to downsize the quality, but if each meal had a piece [i.e. arm or leg] then it could be normal size and might inspire some collecting.

I like the idea but I don't see it being very possible. Including a whole figure would definetly call for a quality cutback but only including one piece doesn't make for a very happy Happy Meal The only way I could see something like this happening is if they somehow could cut a full figure down to 6 pieces. Modified torso, head, 2 arms, 2 legs and an accessory. Granted the arms and legs would have to be one piece but that's the only real solution I can see...

[glow=aqua,2,300]Yeah, but they juniorize existing toylines all the time to go into happy meals. Look at Transformers, Barbies, LEGOs, Power Rangers, Hot Wheels, and the like. The goal is not to create a toy collectors are going to salivate over and buy dozens of happy meals to collect, but to give a cheapened down version of the toy that kids can get a somewhat watered down flavor for the real line. A much smaller and a little less articulated set could prehaps meet this end.
Maybe for the collectors and enthusiastic kids they have a separate limited figure for sale for a reduced price? I know they have done similar things with beanie babies, video tapes, DVDs and ect. in the past.

Oh yeah they could definetly do a smaller scale figure, I was referring to doing a figure who's pieces could be used with existing kits. The tie in to another promotion for a regular size figure outside of the Happy Meal would be an awesome idea as well. Heck that would even get me back into McDonalds...someplace I haven't been in over a year

I think the best way to go for something like this is to create a figure made of 7 pieces, weapon, head, torso, arms, and legs. The pieces would fit the fullsize figs as well. Head could be reg size each arm could be a shoulder to elbow piece(elbow modified to look like a hand) full, but small torso legs, same idea as arms (modified to stand up, still retaining the socket) small weapon such as pistol or knife (modified with ball at end of regular handle to fit "hand-socket"
That's the way I see these figs being done. Do one or two for each species, and one "clown" fig composed of gag pieces to satisfy my guilty desires.
What do you think?

Bionicle had Lego figures. they boiled it down to...8 parts, which as you guys have been saying:
torso head arm arm leg leg weapon
Might be possible, even as an assembly of packs (since they usually do eight week promos). As long as they are not cheesy "action" figures, like a Fury in a pull back cloud or something, cool with me. Although my wife does not want to do the McDonalds hunt again...Transformers was the last straw.

I haven't been a big fan of McDonalds since the Furby promotion way back when...8 different Furbys X 5 different colors X 2 different hair colors...yes I have all 80 along with a few (100+) extras.... Can we do a Burger King promotion instead? I eat there almost weekly it seems anyway

[glow=aqua,2,300]Yeah, I hate McDonald's "food" as well. However, I think they are the only ones who would ever run a Xevoz promotion as unlikely as it may be. They already are affiliated with them through the Transformers promotions to I think we'd be stuck. I don't think I even remember a toy company doing anything through Burger King in the past.

BK just got done with a TMNT promotion not too long ago and they're doing Scooby Doo right now. They seem to catch a lot of the smaller scale company brands. Hasbro and Mattel stay pretty close to McDonalds though unfortunately

[glow=aqua,2,300]Yes, but those are all built on a TV show or movie pushing them. Xevoz would depends on itself to sell the meals and the Hasbro name. In retrospect, maybe it would be a better thing to pursue when the show debuts so the promotion has some umph behind it.

~SS~[/glow] Exactly. I'm pretty sure McD wouldn't come out with a xevoz promo right now. Or even once the show has started. They have to wait a while so the toys get known a lot more. That way, people who come in for a happy meal discover the toys and those hunting down the promo toys have to buy a meal. Works both ways. At least that's how I see it.

McDonalds does promos without media coverage - Barbie, HotWheels, Bionicle...it seems like they only do media stuff since they are/were so heavy on the Disney stuff.

[glow=aqua,2,300] Dr. K - all three of those toy properties now have DVDs and television specials that have been played on prime spots on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.
