I know when I finally found the value packs last Thursday, there were two kids trying to get their mom to buy some for them, seems like they're moving pretty darn well. Regarding Wal-mart...Pheh... I've heard some bad things about their overall strategy, aside from some unpleasantries in store, but I won't join in the bashing lest some day someone wishes to Target my employer for bashing. I really would like to see them pop up elsewhere, like where I work, but I think its kinda nice to have an excuse to go up the street and take a look around there every once in a while. Toys R Us may not be a small business, but it is a specialty store that can carry more than a single store that trys to carry everything. As this is the case, I feel there really should be support for it.

I'll be the first to admit that TRU isn't the greatest run company in the world...there's a lot of underhanded sneaky crap going on but at least they're not trying to put every other retailer out of business Normally the stuff that's exclusive ends up going to all the other stores within 3 to 6 months from what I've heard so I wouldn't be suprised if Xevoz starts showing up at other places between waves 2 and 3.

I have actually seen Xevoz toys at Rick's 5 And Dime in Branson, MO... a small shop that carries everything from classic to new stuff. As far as toys go, I've seen everything from crappy, already broken pen tops to the Go-Bot monster Zod to the MOTU vs. Snakemen figures. I haven't really asked where they found the Xevoz toys... maybe they ordered them from someone or from an online retailer. (Also, they have a great selection of individual Testors acrylic paints - picked up a Cinnamon and Peach vial for skin tones.)
[The name of the retailer actually starts with a D, but for some reason the content filter is targeting that word. It's a common name, fercryinoutloud...]

I worked for Sam's Club and offshoot of Wal-Mart Inc. for 9 years and I can tell you it's like working for a legalized version of the mob. Wal-Mart is a predator pure and simple. When the founder (Sam Walton) was alive, I don't remember this eat everyone else philosphy coming along till after his death. Once he died though the greed took over the company. I remember sitting in a meeting where our ware house director told us that Wal Mart was willing to put a store a block a part on either side of a major competitor just to run them out of business. After the foe closed shop they were more than fine with closing down the extra store and having a monopoly in that region. I just hate their philosophies and how they dominate the toy industry right now. I'd rather shop at Target and TRU. I try to go elsewhere when it comes to buying toys.
