And a couple new ones, to boot! Nick Chopper, better known as the Tin Woodsman: And the main character from a comic strip I want to do based on my life in Mormon singles' Wards, called the Meat Market:

My niece asked me to draw "something cool" for her. Since I am going to pack my scanner up for the move on Tuesday, I scanned it in, and it will be the last drawing you'll see from me for a couple days, at least. Here's Captain Jack Sparrow, looking slightly heroic. Must be an off moment.

Hey, here's a newly scanned sketch. This is a scene from the comic strip that is slowly developing in pencils and in my mind.

Hey! Here's some more pictures, in color, this time. We'll start off with my version of Dorothy, I figure in this picture she's around 18-ish, mostly because I haven't figured out how to draw little children yet. The Scarecrow colored. I love the idea of his mouth being a rip in the bag that makes up his head. A different take of the Tin Woodman. When coloring, I decided that his hat didn't necessarily have to be tin, then after I was done, I decided I would have liked it better if it matched the rest of him. Oh well. I still like it. The Cowardly Lion. I drew him based on the movie version, mostly because I didn't have any lion pictures around to reference when i drew it. And.....Completely unrelated.... My version of the Frog Prince. Although, to think of it, in later Oz books there is a human sized frog character. Hmmmm, maybe I was subconsciously influenced by the Oz theme?

I like the girl he's talking to in that one pic. Any chance of seeing her in color? Can I pick out the colors?

I saw her more as a dark brunette.....is that what you meant?

I would go with more of a redhead look. True red, not natural orange. Green eyes. I just fantasize too much sometimes I guess. Dark brunette looks good too. I do like glasses for some reason. Black rimmed ones, or black frames. And is she wearing a skirt?

The new ones in color look good. I like you take on Dorothy and the Scarecrow. The jaw on Woodsman takes away a bit but the hat seems appropriate.
Good job

Fratmonkey: Yeah, it's weird how small the world can be sometimes. I'm glad my drawing evoked some good memories for you.
Machineman: I'm still working on my ideal Tin Woodman, thanks for the comment on the jaw, I'll try it without next time and see how I like it.
