Game comes out in 2 hours here, or when the store I reserved it at opens tomorrow morning... Any thoughts? (This would be a good place to share friend codes, gamertags, whatever...)

I can't wait for it to come out. Simply cause I'm sick of people asking about it at work, heh. Don't get me wrong though. I love the Guitar Hero games, it's just that I've been repeating "it comes out on Oct. 28" about 15-20 times a days for the past month I wanted to get the Wii version, but ever since I heard there wouldn't be any online play, I've pretty much changed my mind and will probably get the 360 version instead. I'm in no hurry though, seeing how I haven't even opened GH2 yet and I bought that on launch day last year lol.

I'm a Wii only guy mostly because of finances and also because of space and choice. I'm considering getting this for myself. It'll be my first foray into the GH games. The thing is I like some of the songs but not that many most I'm unfamiliar with. The pnes I know I like are...
Baracuda La Grange The Cult of Personality Welcome to the Jungle Evenflow
and the rest I'm rither somewhat lukewarm, indifferent, on unfamilar with.
To me, There's not enough old school variety in the tunes. I'm surprised they don't have a library of tunes downloadable as you progress in the game. If they offered options like that the game would infinitely better.
I'd love to be able to jam out to ACDC's Back in Black, Def Leppard's Armegeddon It or Huey Lewis' Heart In Soul.

got it for ps2... not wanting to invest in 2 more guitars for a game that really doesnt rely on graphics for the fun. Yeah the selection of songs is definitely better than GH2, but metallica "One" kicked me and my friends ass, not because it was incredibly difficult, but it was one of those marathon songs where you just have to last it out. I knew a bunch of the songs, but it's a lot of older stuff which is fine by me. The little comic book cutscene story is fun too. Yeah there are still a bunch of songs i'd like to see, but now that it's been given up by harmonix I'm sure they'll keep on churning out sequels. Rockband looks amazing, but i wouldnt be able to sing most of the songs, and i have no coordination for drums.

I haven't tried online on the Wii yet, but I know it definitely has some form of online play; at least, it keeps track of my progress on the website since I got the link code from the game and entered it at the official forums at www.guitarhero.com . I'm PlankBar on the forums, by the way, based on the sound I usually hear from the strum bar... I'm a pretty average player at best. Edit: Yes, yes the Wii version definitely has online play... tried three matches vs. strangers and lost two. (The first win was against a player on Easy.)
