Man, that's dissappointing. I guess I've have to wait untill Nintendo hosts an event in Dallas to rack up on meeting people in the underground. If anyone new to Pokemon wants some helpful tips on how to get way ahead in the game just feel free to ask. Here's one of the most helpful: It's very very benefitial to capture a few Pick Up ability Pachirisu early on at the grass besides the Valley Windworks, keep a couple of them in your party as you defeat pokemon and them reap the awesome harvest of items they'll collect for you. ~SS~

Yeah, it is. But I bet you'll be able to get a Spiritomb over the GTS. I got all three starter Pokemon simply by offering Psyducks.
Yes, Psyducks. Japanese players apparently like getting Pokemon with English names. Or something.

Nope, but I'm still working on the third badge. But I do have my Manaphy from Ranger!
One catch - you can only trade for Pokemon you've already seen, either during the game or by battling other trainers, etc.

Cool, most of the ones I want right now are ones I mentioned earlier and battled at Gyms or with galactic grunts.
Would you be interested in trading a Misdreavus for a murkrow, Yakko? I'll even throw in a dusk stone as a held item so you could evolve it or another misdreavus if you like.

Sorry, chief. I've got Diamond myself.
Although if I get a Misdreavus over the GTS, I'd be glad to trade it to you.

I have pearl and I have a Misdreavus. They're somewhat easy to get in Eterna Forest. I could try and get one for you guys if you need it.

I could wait until my 7 year old who has pearl gets me one but that would be awhile since she's pretty forgetful once she starts playing. I mostly want to trade here to foster a little board fun with the game. I really don't care too much about what we trade, I'd just like to swap a few pokes with you guys.

Sounds good.
WiFi trading is a beautiful thing. I was able to get my Kadabra to evolve to Alakazam, and I'm getting a Squirtle tonight...

I don't even know what creatures are hard to come by in the Pearl Version...I'm kinda new to this whole pokemon thing. Anyway, like I said, if you guy want the misdreavus, it wouldn't take me too long to catch them for you.
Also, I still need to figure out how the online trading and battling work this game. Aside from going upstairs and downstairs in the poke-center buildings, I have no clue. I guess I'll have to read the instruction manual.

You'll need to enter our Friend Codes in your Pal Pad (and vice versa) and then we'll actually need to schedule a time to meet (in the downstairs area of the Pokemon Centers). Although that may be impossible for you and me, as we seem to keep far different schedules!

Gray - I'd be all for trading if you want. A couple of pokemon that you can't get in pearl are are Murkrow (a flying/dark crow), Cranidos (rock dinosaur you can only get from a fossil found in the underground) and Stunky (dark/poison skunk). Let me know if you want any of these for a misdreavus and we'll trade when I get wifi running. When I get to the point in the game Palpark is accessable I'll be able to offer any Pokemon from past gens in trades. This includes event legends if anyone wasn't able to get those.
In my game front, I defeated Cyrus and Team Galactic today and captured Dailga. I was a little dissapointed he went down so easy though. He was captured after just 2 ultra balls. Now it's not to the lakes for the legendary sprites, the 8th gym badge and after that the Pokemon League.

Be sure to let me know your code... I've already added Grayfox and Yakko... hopefully we can get together for a mini-Xevolution trade session. (I'm about to the point where I'm taking on the 6th gym, and have level 33 monsters, so I'm a ways back.) I'm anxious to finally get a Combee... Maybe I can trade you my Machoke and trade it back so I can get the data and area where found added to my Pokédex, and a Machamp besides.

Damn, you guys are fast. I just got the bicycle and the 2nd badge.
SS let us kknow your friend code and I'll add you. while you prep for wifi play, I'll try and hunt down a Misdreavus for you. Or I'll just trade you the one I have now. The Cranidos is something I'd be interedted in.

I picked up diamond this last weekend. Its a pretty neat game. My starter pokemon seems a bit week though. If it wasn't for a machop that I found I wouldn't have been able to beat the first gym.
Any tips on capturing the critters? I seem to spend all the cash on pokeballs, which fail (I get the pokemon into the red) and then don't have enough cash for potions etc...
Any tips on team makeup? My team is currently: fire(chimchar), fighting(machop), flying(a bird), elec(cat looking critter), stone(Onix), and a water(psyduck)
