Squishee, you are yet again the only one who has a problem with this. Some others may not like it, but they have voiced their opinions and said their peace. I don't see any of them continually complaining like you are (after I believe, you said you were done).
It's a matter of opinions. I helped becuase I personally thought it was good news. How is having the option to buy the set NOT good news? Its better then no options isn't it? Even at higher prices? Don't buy the dam set man, stop bashing me, and get over it already, will ya? Go play with your kids or something. Otherwise, keep up with these pointless arguements you always get into, continue to make people sick of the boards constant arguments, and chase off even more great members as you have in the past. It's your choice.
If you totally distrust me now for making one thread with nothing but facts, you might have issues you want to look into. As I said, I thought it had some useful info and was overall good news, though there was some bad. I don't like the price anymore then the next guy, but I am dealing with it. I am not his double agent, making a profit and being shady becuase my involvment in one freaken thread. Serious man, you gotta stop with these feeble, far fetched ideas and see it for what it is. I helped deliver news I thoughth was good, I mighta helped promote him, I really could care less if I did. Above all else I wanted you guys to know the situation about Hasbro dumping these overseas.[/b]

So that would mean 20x60=1,200 1,200 dollars is what the board owes you

So why were you needed to deliver this news? Did dave lose his posting privelidges? Please, it's because people were already weary of him for good reason. He was looking for a face to promote this besides his own. This wasn't news it was panic ad for scalping.
I'm sorry I do not see this as a positive or a good thing for this board or Xevoz in general. It was promised hope, delivered panic, and sold greed at a sharp markup. It's just a foot in the door for more profiteering and charging big money for these toys based on heresay and panic sales tactics. It's those types of things that poison toyboards far more than protecting against the spreading and condemning of those actions.
I'd rather Dave sold his stuff on his site and kept his buy them now or maybe never messages away from here. We know where Ebay, Toywiz, and D&S toys are at. I hope this place doesn't denegrate itself to become a huge pop up ad for that type of hysteria selling.
If you don't like the complaining or messages against this sort of thing just don't read them or better yet don't involve yourself in stuff like this in the future. You may not have received any money, free figures, or discounts (who really knows besides you two) but you certainly look bad being hooked into this. Let dave do his own newsflashes and you won't have to suffer any collateral damage, defend his actions, and take the heat too if it doesn't go over well. It's all up to you.

You wanna know why he didn't post it himself Squishee? Becuase he knew you would complain. Yes, it was also some free advertisement on his part, but it was also valuable info for us. He asked me to post becuase he knew you would only start more arguements if he posted any news himself. You jump all over him when someone even mentions they bought a figure on eBay from him or his sight, what would you did if he said he might be getting in some sets??
As for selling it on his site, he could. He is offering us first dibs though, the true fans. What does it hurt he is offering us a first chancec at em? Don't buy em if you don't like the deal man, why is that so hard to comprehend? I can only guess what these sets will go for on eBay, and I bet its more then he is asking.
I am not defending anyone other then myself. I stated my opinion on the matter plain and simple and you went on to call me a sell out among other things and falsely accuse me of tons of bs. I honestly just wanted to let you guys know what was going on, that is why I had anything to do in this.
As far as I am concerned, and this has nothing to do with Dave or anyone else, it is just my take on this. Anyways, In my opinion, we won't see these things here in the states ever. We are getting reports they are being sold over seas and based on what Dave has told me, they are. That is where he got them to my knowledge. I don't see any U.S retailers with them and I doubt I ever will. Could it be possibly Shane's friend in a foreign country just hasn't noticed Xevoz? I mean, look at their spotty distribution here, let alone in different countries, I can only imagine. We don't even know if Hasbro has wave 3. I will be curious to see if they actually deliver this time.
If you want to be mad at anyone man, be mad at Hasbro. Dave may scalp toys, but at least he has never out and out lied to me on numerous occaisions, screwed me on orders, and kept silent all the while. That my friend, is Hasbro. If you want to boycott anyone, boycott Hasbro. [/b]

Please are you saying Dave couldn't post it himself because he is afraid of me? If I'm the irrational nut that you would like to make me out to be then why would he or anyone else have to fear my mere words? It's because the truth stings and it didn't do him any good to use a front man anyway.
I'm glad you've completely bought into Dave's words. He could have received these in a mistake by Hasbro ala EE or someone could have approached him with a few cases of smuggled figures from Hasbro's warehouses. Surely if a mass dumping campaign was involved overseas he could get more into his hands than a mere 30 units when hasbro produced ten of thousands of these things at least because making less isn't cost effective to making the molds. If he's on the level then give us a country these have popped up in and we can find out how plentiful they are through shane. Even if some stock is being dropped in asian markets shane has said through his cooperate contacts that they can't get rid of all of it there by a long shot. So there is a huge balance of it stateside that will see clearenceing in some form. Of course we didn't get any of that kind of even handed view of this, we got the hard sale line that you'd better get them now for twice cost or you probably will never see them again.

For of those of you joining us on page 4.... So Secter dropped hints for Dave at DNS...... Got it. DNS got it from overseas and it is a little pricey..... Got it. SS says that DNS is scalping and Secter is pimping for DNS..... Got it. Bickering back and forth ensues.......Got it. GG is supposed to get a FD vs RS for each page that this topic goes on for...... Got it. GG is planning on sending yours truly the second one he gets...... Got it. That is about where we are right now generally speaking. I have bought BBTS (and yes I pimped their customer service, shipping, and stock before (nice folks), TIS (I, like most have pimped James's customer service and his store), and I have also purchased once from DNS. They had the item I wanted when others didn't and it was comparatively priced to other stores (less than Enterainment Earth whcih is a pretty big online store.) I didn't have a problem with DNS, everything was smooth like butter. Parkay even. About all of this, it is too rich for my blood unless DNS offers a military discount to make it like $20. So in conclusion..... Who sang She works hard for the money? Donna Summer Say it backwards. Summer Donna. Faster. Summdonna. Faster. Summadona Faster Again. Summadona THAT"S RIGHT !!!!SIMMER DOW NA!!!! ;D

No one is afraid of you Squishee. Most would rather avoid you and your pointless arguement though, rather then get involved in long winded, stupid arguments like this where no one wins in the end. For the life of me I don't know why I keep gonig back and forth with you, but I do. He didn't post it himself becuase instead of having you immediately bash him and turn the whole thread into an arguement (like this one) he had me do it to get you guys excited and focus more on the facts. Did he do it for promotion? Sure, he did some, but there is also info to accompany it which I find useful.
A few months back dumping them overseas seemed a very likely possaiblity you often talked about. Now all the sudden it wouldn't matter becuase they have so much stock? How do you know how much stock Hasbro produced, how do you know if foreign markets would buy it all or not.. how do you know anything? Really, it is all just theories. I have already talked about Shane and his contacts. All your other complaints I have addressed also in another thread so I am not going to go on about them here. [/b]

15-20 min of reading and its all bickering.
Dave should have had the balls to post the info himself. I mean, he's trying to make a quick buck off of fans who are mostly in that "older" crowd and would catch on right away that he's a scalper. if it was just about the money, he should have gone straight to ebay but Scalping in the home of the fanbase... geez. Instead he uses Sector to gain a foothold and catch most of the bickering. and what's sad is that sector continues to defend the guy who used him.
I too thought this forum was for fans selling to fans, ie- not trying to rip each other off. maybe I was wrong.
I think hasbro has a stockpile and it will eventually be dumped here somewhere, or sold overseas. As for the overseas stuff, I've got a few friends in Singapore who say the line is rather sluggish. They've said nothing about having neat wave 4 stuff. (Remember, xevoz were released in Singapore first. but then there is the whole HasbroUSA vs overseas Hasbro)
Your_Number1_Fan --> I'd really like one of them, but not at that price and not from a scalper.

I know he is trying to make money, but at least he is offering em here first. You said it yourself YN1F, why would he even bother coming here only to catch flak when he can sell em on eBay, and probably make even more then what he is offering em here for? I think he did it to help us out, granted he IS making money and benefitting himself, but he is at least offering us a chance at em first, kinda a win win situation. Even if you hate the price and think its nuts, you don't gotta pay it.
Obviously you guys who constantly barage him about being a scalper has made no impact, he is still able to get 30 bucks for a Storm Wing. The only thing that really matters is price. I am not defending him at all at this point, I am defending myself from claims Squishee has said about my character, such as being a sell out. I am done though, I don't have to defend myself at all, I did nothing shady, I did nothing illegal, I passed on what info I was given, and that info just happened to be given by scifiguy.[/b]

Meh, having you post this big buildup didn't save him or you any criticism the pair of you were due in all this. All it did was a big build up over overpriced goods and panic selling techniques there were absolutely no facts presented or substanciated just opinions made to drive sales based on self-serving heresay planted by a guy who stood to profit.
Yes, I thought it was possible that all wave 4 product could be completely dumped overseas, but I changed my mind just recently that this could be the sole dumping area because someone who knows more about the situation told us it was not an viable option. Someone who is more connected and knows how things work because he himself is tied into the industry and seems to know roughly what is still available in product here in the US.
How do you and dave know how much wave 4 Hasbro stock is left in the US? How much is in asian or foriegn markets? That the excesses won't be released here here or all liquidated in the states? You also don't know any of that or have any other facts on the future of these toys. What do YOU know for sure? All I know for a fact is that he might have gotten these 8 cases of wave 4 2 packs overseas and he sold them here for a profit.

Just to be fair--Dave DID post the info himself. Yes, Secter made a little tease last week, because he found the whole idea very positive and exciting. But Dave posted the deal himself tonight--I'll bet he didn't want anything definitive posted until he had literally openned his shipment and confirmed with his own eyes and hands that the promised goods were there (If he's being truthful about their overseas origin, and I certainly have no reason to believe otherwise).
I agree, of course, that these toys will eventually pop up in droves, but for the first few weeks, I wouldn't expect them to get much cheaper than what was offered here tonight. Hell, look--it's all moot now, because certainly out of 300+ members, all of these toys have been spoken for. Let's see if we can convince Dave to share with other online retailers and The Imagination station where these figures can be obtained, so that once Dave orders as much as he can afford to, other retailers can pick up the slack and encourage competition and higher distribution.
