Hello All. I'm a new member here. I've been reading the board for a while, but then decided to join up on Christmas day. You all seem like a bunch of good guys, ;D so I'm hoping I can get a bit of advice from some of you.
I'm presently looking to purchase a few figures to add to my collection. Sadly, they are the hardest to find presently in stores locally around my area and I know there are options of order online; I'm no stranger to online purchasing, but I wanted to ask the community specific questions about their dealings with one of the sites mentioned, particularly Entertainment Earth.
I've registered with EE to be notified via email when they will have inventory for the figs I'm looking for, but I haven't seen any news. They're the only site I've seen of the many others that are still accepting orders for the figs I'm trying to get, but since they've been on back order for quite a while, I'm a little reluctant to make a purchase through EE. Can anyone give me some advice or some assurance on this matter?
Oh, for the record, I'm trying to get the following:
Crypt Curse Storm Wing Tomb Wraith Iron Spectre (Just the fig, not the case if it can be done) & the Transcorcher vs. Street Punk set
Thanks in advance for any responses and advice! ;D

My advice would be visiting your local Toys R Us stores for the Iron Spectre case and Street Punk v Transcorcher set. They should be clearanced there, like nearly every other TRU so you can get the case and fig for 15 (would have to buy the figure from someone here or on eBay, don't think any retailers seperate the set and only offer the fig) and the Transcorcher set for the same price. The case might possibly be sold out there, and if so, most Targetsd are also clearancing them for $17.50. The Transcorcher sets should be no problem finding, I see them at every single TRU en mass quantities.
As for the other figures, I would personally go ahead and place an order for em. They have had that "available for order" stuff up for months, so who knows if they will actually get them in, but at least you will have an order with them and that way can cancel it anytime if you find them at local retail. Thanks for the input. I've been doing exactly that. I checked out the TRUs near me, but the only figs I find are:
-All Wave 1 figs -Hemo Goblin vs Moon Stalker
The Targets in my area have cleaned out all their Xevoz figs and don't even carry them anymore. It's depressing.
Walmarts carry a few figs, but with the recent holiday, they're slim pickings also until they clean up their aisle and estimate what they have left amidst the aftermath of holiday shopping.
I'm finding great deals at the local KBs. Sets like Razor Claw are being sold for 3.99. Sledge Trooper and the like are 4.99; they're the best deal in town! It's only a shame that I've got the figs from Wave 1 & 2 they are selling. I'll probably get a couple of duplicate figs to do some custom works all the while looking for the remaining figs for my collection.
I'll do what you said about placing the order on EE. I guess it's better for them to accept orders for the rares than nothing at all. Thanks!

No problem. If you order them with EE you at least know you will get the figures if they get them in. And if you ever find any figures at stores near you before they do get them in or ship them, you can simply cancel your order with EE. That's what I did.
As for the Transcorcher set, your TRU doesn't have any of those? That set is available en mass quantities at every TRU around me, and at the one Target near me that carries Xevoz too.
As for KB, those are awesome deals. On the main forum page, Mr. Stinkhead posted that he saw KB Toys had their figures for even less after Christmas, 2 for 5 bucks. If the KB near me carried Xevoz I would definetly be all over those deals, can't beat $2.50 for a Xevoz figure no matter if you have em or not imo.
Oh and btw, welcome to the Xevolution boards [/b]

Hey Secter,
I don't know if it's a gradual thing, but thought I'd share some news. I went to KB again today and WOAH & BEHOLD! I found SP vs. TC. But more than that, the KB's in my area are now doing the $2.50 deal. I think what you have to do is buy at least 2 figs, or at least figs in pairs to get the $2.50 deal. I bought three from one store (ST, IF & SG) and my bill came out to $10 and some change. Each had a $4.99 price tag, but I looked at my reciept and found that 2 were discounted to $2.50; the other at $4.99. (If someone wants to test this consumer theory, please go to a KB and pick up 4 figs and let us know what your bill came out to. If purchasing in pairs works, then you could get 4 for about $10.)
I went to another KB and picked up SB & DS, priced at $3.99, but the receipt showed them each at $2.50. I picked up TC vs. SP too, priced at $10. My bill was $15 and change.
So, go visit a KB store if you need to pick up some figs if you're trying to complete your collection, or in need of some dups for custom works. I know you said the one near you doesn't carry them, but for $2.50 a fig, I think you can go the distance and get to another one that's a bit farther out. ;D And for everyone reading this, I don't know what the likelihood would be, but if KB sees a rise in demand & sales for these figs, it's a possibility that they may continue to order more & more figs as the new waves come out.

Hmm, I just might have to look for a KB that has Xevoz. One mall near me doesn't have a KB, and the other I called a few weeks ago and they said they didn't carry Xevoz. The only other malls are 30+ minutes away, but it might be worth the trip if I can get a nice stash of Xevoz. Targets are also getting really low on their prices, so I might also just wait and see if they get tdown to $2.50 in price too.[/b]

Large selection, eh? Do you think they'll have enough to accomodate the demand as it is now?
