All, I know I am probably going to excite a few people cause these are almost like children, but since we have so many talented folks on the boards, is it possible that some of you would be willing to (A) sell your customs, (B) create a copy of your custom and sell it, or (C) someone sends you the parts and you make a copy of the custom. I am just wondering cause a lot of good stuff goes over the board and I can't make it if it is anything other than a kitbash. So how about comments or complaints?

I would think that if a person sends me the parts I could make them a custom from my gallery although I'm not sure what would be a fair price to charge. I'm not sure I'd want to do it even then because making a really good custom is such an huge investment in time and work that it makes it hard to apart with something for a fairly low monetary price. I think the best way to acquire other people's customs is by trading your own custom works, but that approach probably isn't much help for your situation.

I kind of agree with SS. I'd be willing to sell my customs, only if I could get a handle on the replacement parts, and then it would have to be a serious trade or monetary offer.
Really, for me its all in the creation, I just enjoy making the customs. When I'm done posting, they just sit on the shelf. I probably wouldn't even bother customizing, if there wasn't a place like this forum to share them with.
Still, I would not want to be put in a situation where I couldn't recreate a custom for lack of parts.

Just out of curiousity, how much would you guys do it for if you don't mind me asking? I think the customs are great, but I myself am not interested in buying any, I would rather try my own hand at creating or recreating a custom I see here.
Anyways, I know in Toy Fare once in awhile they give prices of custom made figures and it is usually around 50-100 bucks, and that is with heavy sculpting and modification of various figures all payed for by the creator. What would it take to sell your guys figures, or what would buyers be willing to pay? What do you feel is fare? Again, I am not interested in buying or creating my own for sale, just curious is all.[/b]

I myself wouldn't sell any of the customs I've made so far for even $100 a pop. I've just put to much time and heart into them. It would be like selling one of my kids... well not that extreme but you get the idea. Now if someone sent me the parts and asked me to recreate one of them I think $50 to $100 seems about right for me to expend my time and supplies on it.

I figured you would have more heartburn over this SS. I know how you feel about your customs and rightly so. If my hands were as creative as my mind, I would show off my customs, but all I have are kitbashes. I think the price of $50 for some of the customs may be a bit steep (even with the purchaser suppling parts) but then again, I would be the consumer and any of you folks the supplier. If we do not come to a fair deal, then no business gets transacted, easy as that and nobody gets upset. And some of the folks on the board I have "known" for almost a year now, so for some, trust really isn't a problem. Back to the customs though, your Jack Frostbones, Cactusby00 Blaze Talon and Arcaster - Blade Hunter, Quiller-bee Parson, and Heyyou Drider, Argareth, and Xialin's Knight Fang are without a doubt some of my all time favorites. I am not saying the rest are crap, either your customs or the work of other folks on the board, but these I could use in my worldview and the parts I either have an extra one of or can possibly get a few extras of. I respect and hold in regard anyone who is able to take an idea and morph an action figure, be it dye, paint, or molding into said idea since I do not have the confidence to. I mean the food network made me think I could cook and some turned out great and some sucked, but getting stuff for a dinner and finding a stormwing to cannabalize are two totally different things.

Actually that's a very good idea, grayfox. Actually it is a pretty tough decision for me, like I said I'd probably never sell my originals. Replicating them I might do, but I probably won't because I have only a limited amount of time when I'm not posting and living life so the money to make it worth doing and the buyer sending parts combination would probably scare some people off. To be honest, I'd rather be doing something all new anyways. ~SS~
