If you look up golem and prague, you'll read the tale of a rabbi who created a golem of mud and activiated it by placing a name of god in its mouth, the story goes on to where the rabbi forgets to take it out, and the golem proceeds to cause havok. I did some minor updates, nothing special, backtrack a bit Just one new one today. Something not as extravagant, but a figure idea I had in the book. Zone Sentinels guard the borders of Atlantia. They are excellent snipers, and something rarely gets past them, but if something does... shotgun to the face! Good for military bashes with a little Soviet era flair. The knife slides into the gun and the back of the coat. All weapons peg in the back. I'll probably try and come up with some other heads. Another excellent set that I especially like for all the guns, concealed knife, and another female body to customize with. A cool gag piece would be a bear head (a throwback to the russian influence) and customizers could make a nice bear with various existing meta-beast parts. A hammer and sickle might be good fun to include too.

I also like the additions you made to the past kits as well.
I love the roman gladiator armor on the deep assassin. I'd love to see an additional head like that there too.
A U.S. Cavalary or native american warbonnet extra heads might be nice with stampede blazer as well as a tomahawk, winchster style rifle and bow. Some optional macassin feet might make a cool accessory and a one of those braided bone chestplates a cool armor piece.
I love the football helmet accessory for fortress masher! I love to see it get some alternate feet cleats and a wrap around jersey or shoulder pad armor. The coolest xevoz of all: an elephant linebacker.

I like Zone Sentinel, for it reminds me of Masamune Shirow's Motoko Kusanagi. Couple more of alternate heads, and it would have been the ideal kit for multiple purchases to build the Xevoz female population. Keeping with the Manga influence, it might also work nicely in translucent plastic for the "stealth optical camouflage" look.

The influence for this and probably the Shirow image is Enki Bilal. You should definitely look up his stuff. He is incredible. It's definitely European, so if manga fans might not like it. It's nearly impossible for me to do a croc Xevoz that doesn't in some way look like one of the hundreds of renditions of Batman's Killer Croc. Please forgive me in advance.

That's cool. Killer Croc is one of batman's best looking villians IMO. I've never seen a version of him I didn't think looked amazing.

Enki Bilal? I am pretty sure I got a couple of his hardbound French graphic novels stashed somewhere in my reference archives. Nice art, though the books did not stick much in my mind since I can't read French. I think they use to carry some of his work in books section of the Virgin Records stores.

Hey Neocal, you might have as many or more reference books than I do. We should compare sometime. My friend saw the images i had up all together, and he said, "wow, that's a lot of time spent drawing stuff for a dead toyline." Squishee, those are some great suggestions for Stampede Blazer, I'll definitely get back to him once I do some more designs. Might step away from the technical stuff, it takes more effort, but I guess I have a toy design portfolio in the end but it lacks the really technical drawings with precise measurements and all the other views for each piece I guess. I'll have enough images for waves 7 and 8 soon I wanna start drawing Sigma6 style stuff. Sorry ANSpecies, I was researching stag and horned beetles, and well, I don't really know what i'd do but add more heads to Doom Dozer. So I'll probably just do that. I did learn some stuff though. I also have a problem breaking away from proper bug anatomy, which is what I'm going to have to do. The Xevoz guys took some major liberties with the mantis and scorpion anatomy but that only lent to a very fun toy with great bashing potential with the other sets. That said my first BoneCutter/Shadow Blade bash was retarded. Here it is, the gator/croc fig I alluded to. Yeah the alt head looks like Grimlock, I know. That's why I changed the color to green. But hey everyone knows, Grimlock king. I need to clean my apartment...

My bad if you all ready covered it, but what's the black thing on the gator, a back pack?

What a beaut! Now there a toy I can sink my teeth into, mates! Love the design and the concept. The only thing that would concern me at all is the smallish feet because I think the figure might be a bit top heavy for those to work. If I could add anything would be a aussie hunter/safari hat head in an somewhat indirect bow to the late steve irwin.
I can't tell you how much fun these things have been for me and for a few fleeting moments I recapture the magic that I felt when xevoz was alive and we had new figures to look forward too. I'm convinced that with this type of creativity Xevoz if properly promoted, managed and maintained could have joined the ranks of Transformers, G.I. Joe, Star Wars and Marvel as a long running and successful toy property. I check here at least 10 times a day hoping to catch something new.

My bad if you all ready covered it, but what's the black thing on the gator, a back pack? I think it's similar to the Egyptian neck thing included with Crypt Curse except it's hair. I might be wrong though.

Really glad you are enjoying this as much as I like making them, Squishee. This might seem out of place, but here are scans from my sketchbook, seeing as how I've done all but one of the designs I wanted to finish out of my sketchbook. The rest are straight to computer stuff, from new ideas and everyones great suggestions. My friend had bought me and another friend some Xevoz in 2005, and at first I put it aside and was like hey thanks man, but when I started playing with them, I was hooked. Bought a bunch on ebay, and scoured Toys R Us, Target, Walmart and KBToys whenever I could or was near a new one. I guess I got in the game fairly late, I sometimes can't believe I almost slept on this. Around that time, I found this forum, and haven't really bothered to join any other toy ones. I do check Toynewsi everyday tho. ANyways, in the order in which they were drawn: This is Zone Sentinel. I wanted female Xevoz bad, so there's the first. The BS stands for Border Sniper, but BS is a crappy abbreviation. The beginnings of what became Deep Assassin and Hydro Maiden. The top right is a Red Sonia/Sheena type. The list I had when I was trying to think of new ones. I drew the F1 car for my nephew I think. Yeah not going to do the female ninja, samurai or Kung Fu chick. I used the ninja design for work. Then it's Doom Dozer and Buzz Injector. Deep Assassin with the shark head. Mist Conjurer I fused with the Grand Vanquer design. The Bandit is a Robin Hood type. Not going to do him. Remember when Lego had the Robin Hood line... I had most of those sets. Granite Golem as you can see. After seeing Mech Shell I did away with the wind up key. Dread Enforcer is a design I stole from my own comic book idea. He would have been Bio-Mecha. I think I might have to reimagine him into something cooler. Stampede Blazer. (oh btw, I worked in my sketchbook, or at least this one, backwards, right to left) Grand Vanquer, which was a shortening of Grand Vanquisher... Solar King, I'm working on that next. He's not a Hyper-Fury and I'm going to change the name most likely. Fortress Masher. Molusca Constrictor was a Squid snake combo. I rethought him and made Naga Charmer. Little Thai dancer design whose color scheme became part of NC as well. Thorn Witch. Initially was toying with Ellegauntlet Thorn or Elegant/Exquisite Thorn, but she made more sense as a witch! Then the counterpart to Red Sonja: a Barbarian Conan type. I'm not going there either in hopes I'll see Ursa Khan someday. Then on the bottom tiny is Kung Fu chick with alt head. I like that alt head though.

Kick ass designs E-Mummy! I love Mud Golem and Naga Charmer a lot. Zone Sentinel isn't bad either, but it's not my favorite. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Even since I started customizing Xevox years ago, I've always wondered how to make a Ladybug Sectoid. Maybe you could give this a try if you ever run out of ideas.

I hope you don't mind that I'm saving all of these pictures on the HD just becuase I love the designs so much. Thanks for posting the sktches as well because it's really awesome to see how the ideas evolve and change from the beginging of the creation till the end product and sometimes even a bit after that. With that said, when can we expect to see a final version of Dread Enforcer, the savage lad type female, or the Robin Hood type character?
