Indeed some of these new colors work well.
Aside from that, I really like the Blasthit kitbash.

Blasthit certainly IS a kitbash although a rather minimal one. Sledge Trooper was never packaged with one of Quickslinger's revolver or Infiltraitor's round head so you or someone else had the bash pieces to computer recolor the picture. With that said some of those look pretty damn cool. Blasthit is awesome and I also like the different colored shock berserkers and the green firedrake.

Genok, a red alpha ranger repaint. That was probably just what Hasbro had in store had the line made it that far.
-the Genok design was pretty neat, more likely to be an arcaster really, if he had a specific species alignment.

What Genok design? Are you referring to the one from the intended comic book series. I wouldn't comsider that rag cannon. As far as I know he never had a toy design slated on the horizon.

Lets call them Virtual Kitbashes (VKB).
These don't look like Kitbashes in the form we know them. If you look at the added head and gun on sledge trooper, they look like photo edits. They are not a scan of a ST with IT head. It is and ST with a IT head pasted on top of it. Same for the gun. In my opinion they don't line-up as they should if they were physical connected. (I think they look better).

Whether it be virtual or not, it's still a kitbash.

They're better than some of the real kitbashes I've seen. I especially like Fusehead. Him I would definitely buy if it was real. Nice color combos with the dark clear orange and black armor. Has anyone had any luck dyeing a shock berserker different colors? If you like using Photodeluxe, you should really try Photoshop. The education edition has all the same bells and whistles as the retail version, but a whole lot cheaper. Just can't be upgraded, that's the only drawback. It goes waaaaaaay beyond hue controls and the like. The CS3 version has a wicked black and white control that lets you adjust the levels of grey individually to make a color picture a kick-butt B&W shot. And I could go on ... and on ... and on about Photoshop. I use it with all of my digital photos. ;D
