has anyone thought of getting together and making some of emummy's creations. we can't sell them because hasbro has the license, but we could make them for the people on this site who want them?

LOL.... yeah, make that happen. Not to be too pessimistic but I've heard this purposed like at least several dozen times and no one has the cash, tech or resources to make it happen.

I have 2 uncles who are tech savvy. both own wood working computer machines, that lets you insert a board and it will carve it in 3-d. maybe it could be used for plastic too? how much is epoxy resin/plastic? Maybe i'll talk to them and see what I can make, if it works we'll see what we can do. I really want grand vanquer or thorn witch lol

One of my uncles works making prototypes all the time, he's used 3-d rendering software, and will most likely help me, my other uncle makes lots of molds, so I can go to one for prototypes, and the other for molds. anyone want to vote on the first character to be made?

i dont know, but if you can make em, I will buy a few. They would be epic. just pick a set of ones you like, and start a poll, see what the people like. personally I like the water hyperfury, but you might wanna start with something simpler and non-translucent

I don't know if i'll be able to do translucent, but we'll see. Female bodies will be sonewhat hard to figure out, becasause the are smaller than male, and still need to have the peg holes for armor/backpacks.

I'd definitely jump on board when it comes to prototyping, I use a clay that hardens in the microwave... It's the ball and socket joints that are tricky. I haven't gotten a chance to try but I plan on molding one of the better figs arms, hot knifing the joints out of the cast, and building onto it... As far as mass production goes... it typically isn't very cheap. I'm still practicing mold making/casting. The mold material I'm working with is a 10:1 parts silicon mixture, its great for picking up detail and it doesn't harm the original piece in any manner. The only thing that keeps hanging me up is casting... I can never seem to fill the mold completely. I'm about to try "injecting" the epoxy to see if that works out better.
Either way if you want to make some action figures hit me up man. I'm a newbie, but ever since I was a kid I've wanted to make my own action figure. Xevoz' ball and socket design is by far the best base for doing so. I have some of my own designs in mind, but with eMummie's permission, I would thoroughly enjoy tinkering with some of his designs considering they are freaking awesome.

Oh i forgot, as far as translucent parts go, I use a a two part epoxy that's great. It can even be dyed. Again the biggest issue is, it ain't cheap.
