Simple, Hasbro doesn't love us as much as they should.

Nope. They didn't sell, thus Hasbro canned it.
Stikfas is working on something similar, though.

there must be more to why they abandoned... I shouldn't even reply to this - there was not just one reason... but Star Wars killed it. Hasbro is not some evil entity. They sell plastic... cool, awesome plastic. The people who work for the company are fun and cool, but its a job... and if resources put on Xevoz hurts the company's ability to produce star wars figs, then Xevoz dies. It was a great concept, and it would be nice if Stikfas stopped being so stubborn and took a page out of Hasbro's playbook and made their line to be more... risky. Xevoz was cool because a dozen or more sharp/fun people hacked away and BanYJ's idea and made it better. In the end, Xevoz (and Stikfas) aren't a concept most people are gonna wrap their heads around... so it died. Hasbro woulda brought it back... but the toys didn't even sell on clearance! So, I appreciate the sadness over the loss of the line... but blaming hasbro is hardly useful, or accurate. Also, kinda insulting to the people who are still there pooring their ideas into other parts of the toy-line. Do you know how they musta felt after putting all that cool into Sigma Six and NO ONE BOUGHT the toy? It's a tough business. Anyways... there will be other toys kids... Have you seen the new gattling nerf-gun!?!?! It's hella-cool! ;D

A repost from /toy/, courtesy of Boros... "Well, xhit (sic). Good news & Bad news. Here's an email I got from people at Stikfas (The people who licensed the Xevoz articulation to Hasbro): Hi there NAME, sorry for the late reply, I am afraid that in the foreseeable future Hasbro will not be revisiting Xevoz. we are looking into making something similar though and am contemplating on the scale. Cheers Banyj" Straight from BanYJ's computer.

I know, but if you look at the concept sketches they aren't like Xevoz. They aren't even in the right scale of Xeovz OR Stikfas. So I still don't think they are similar. Plus that would have to be an old e-mail. Nothing heard from BanyJ in a long time, about anything.

See that's funny because there is a discussion going on at the asylum right now about his absence and it's longer than 2 months. He doesn't respond to any of the Stikfas fans anymore either, everything comes back from Kimmy one of the reps for HQ.
So you can see my point.

Xevoz was and still is one of the best thought out toylines in history. However, if there was a tenth of the effort put into marketing as there was in production there'd be Xevoz the Movie by now.
I still wish there had been a tie in with Hasbro's other red headed step child, Heroscape.
Oh and hi all!
I think that sooner or later another toyline will emerge with the same open ended interchangeable concept that xevoz enjoyed. Where skeletons can fight dinosaurs while robot armies wait in ambush.
Someday....

I worked with the Xevoz team and can confirm that they have indeed disbanded and are now flung to the four winds. Not a single one of the original idea guys and designers now remains at Hasbro.
Which is too bad, really. They were an amazing bunch - full of ideas, full of belief in the product as well as the customer. And though it's sad to think that the brand is dead and a re-launch is unlikely, without that core team I can't see how a Xevoz re-launch would be anything like what fans would want it to be.
I take comfort in this: there's a rumor afoot that a few of the principals have formed their own little rogue band.

I'd like to add that neither BanyJ or Stikfas HQ is answering any e-mail. So if someone does hear from them E-mail me or PM me so I can pass along the word to the Stikfas boards.
