Nice. I like 'em. That's actually a really good idea. Going back to the true roots of the TMNT.
Very cool.

Those are sweet. The Mike one has an awesome expression on his face. Smile + Blank White Eyes with raised eyebrows = Psychotic!

Nice paint job! Yeah, bright and neon green aren't exactly the best ninja colors (this includes Shadow Blade as well ;D ). For the weapons, the chains look like metal, but the sais and katanas -- real metal or metallic paints? I just got some Tamiya paints and really like them and definitely would recommend for customization projects. Next I need to get some Alsa Corp.'s Killer Can paints.

I hate that they don't show up as being made of metal in the pics. Carving those sais out of forks was no easy task, let me tell you that!

Man, the Mirage Turtles will always be the version I love most. Excellent job, Grayfox! Especially on the weapons. If you ever find yourself with nothing better to do—and totally bored out of your mind—I'd love to see more detailed pictures of Leo and Raph's weapons. (BTW, if you don't mind my asking, what did you use for Leo's blades?) I didn't much care for Mikey's expression at all when I first saw the pics of his standard version, but the all-white eyes make a world of difference.

Quiller
I'm glad you like them! I'll try and take better pics of the weapons in the coming days.
Leo's blades were done with kabob skewers. I was having a hard time trying to find something made of metal I could use and while at the grocery store I saw this cheap 4 skewer set. I bought it and compared the size to the plastic blades and they were identical! So it was just a matter of filing the ends and inserting them into the plastic handles.
As for Mikey's head, I could've used a Don or Leo head for him, but I didn't want turtles sharing the same head mold. So I kept the Mikey head. I might get the upcoming movie extreme sports Mikey and use his head. It would probably look better.

I thought about using sheet metal, but what was available at the store wasn't thick enough.

are the sais made of forks? lol that would be awsome Yes they are made from forks. It was quite the task actually. I had to heat the forks, straighten them, cut one part (so only 3 would remain), file the whole thing, sharpen (yes, they could hurt someone heheh) and finally insert them into the original sai handles. I really, really like how they came out. And had I had more patience at the time, I could have given them more style (like Raph's sais from the first TMNT movie).
