I got all the Batman lego sets at my lego store today. I haven't built the Batplane and Joker Copter yet. I really like them. The cowl is a lot better when you have it in hand.

Sweet, I just ordered mine online yesterday and it already shipped. Only 4 sets were available. Not the Batcave or deluxe Batmobile. I expect the Arkham set will be available in the fall. lego.com

The Batcave should be out during the summer. Since these were supposed to be out April 1, I'm guessing the Batcave will be out before August (as it was scheduled). Arkham I think is coming out in Fall but may be earlier aswell. The USC Batmobile is due with the Batcave.
I was looking around at the Lego pics from the 2006 Toy Fair, and they said that the Batcave was coming out in April.

Since I'm a HUGE fan of Batman and LEGO, I think it'd only be appropriate I put up reviews of the sets.
7779: The Batman™ Dragster: Catwoman™ Pursuit [/u]
Minifigs: 3/10
The set only has 2 minifigs: Catwoman and Batman. Batman comes in the gray suit and black bat symbol that is in all other sets (save Batmobile one). He comes with a cape with the appropriate trimming. The cape feels like a newer material, but that may be because all my others are so broken in. As I mentioned, his cowl is 100x better when you have it in your hand. Catwoman comes with a mask helmet and reversable head (one side with the "glasses", the other with a regular head). Her mask is rather...poor, even compared to Batman's cowl. It's really thick which makes it look rather odd. The minifighs themselves are good (Catwoman less so), but for a $10 set with some rather wimpy vehciles, there could have been another minifig.
Vehicles: 2/10 Catwoman's motocyle is ok. It's rather clunky and looks kind of dumb with the purple. Batman's dragster I really hate. It's a poor model and the thing I hate most is the gattling gun at the front. If it's one thing Batman despises, it's guns. Really out of character. However, it could be used for something better for the big customizers.
Accessories: 2/10 The set comes with 5 batarangs: 2 copter style and 3 traditional batarang style. Catwoman has a whip that can attatch to her motorcycle. The dragster has "flick-fire" missles, but i didn't bother putting them in.
Overall: 4/10 The only reasons to get this set is for a cheap way to get Batman or the only way to get Catwoman. The dragster doesn't have enough bricks to be custom fodder.
7780: The Batboat™: Hunt for Killer Croc™
Minifigs: 6/10 The set comes with the same Batman as the set above.
Killer Croc really boosts the points. He's a very well done figure and one of my fav minor villains. I wish he could have been bigger and more animal, but renditions of him change pending on the artist. He can be more man than beast, or more beast than man. This one captures both very well.
Vehicles: 6/10
The Batboat is very well done. It glides nicely across the floor and the engines are really cool. The bot has a monitor (something the Dragster didn't). A minor gripe is there is nothing that makes the "glass" pivot to open, it has to be removed completely, not that big of a deal. I really liked the rubber edges on the boat, much better than sloped bricks. The batboat has a small vehicle that's a jetski but not quite. It attatch with a Technic rod. Croc has a jetski that's more of a jetski. It's very well done since the front can pivot like a real jetski. It has flick missle like the Dragster, but I don't use them.
Accessories: 7/10 This set comes with 1 tommy gun, 1 uzi, 1 set of handcuffs, and the 5 batarangs. This is the standard for every set so far (except Dragster). The life-like guns are a must have and this is the cheapest way to get them.
I'll have reviews for the Batmobile and Batwing sets tomorrow.

does any one know what the weird looking batarang piece is for? The one with the hole in it? NOPE But apparently Lego thinks there important cause each set has multiples. It looks like it will fit over a Technic axle, but why I don't know. I'm going to cut one up and make a grappling hook. Guess Lego missed that part but saw fit to add guns and rockets to every other Batman vehicle. Also going to sand down a cowl around the bottom to shape it a little better Over all though, the set is a hit!

does any one know wthat the wierd looking batarang piece is for? The one with the hole in it? Put the batarang hole on the top of a minifig's hand. I'll take pics of it tomorrow when I load up a bunch of other pictures. Has anyone gotten the Arkham Asylum set? The only reason I'm getting it is for the minifigs. The set itself is way to small for $80. They should have included the plastic mound they used to use for castles. LEGO has been going down hill in the past few years:(

I got it, but I haven't put it together yet, but yeah I really wanted Scarecrow. I'm getting into a space/time issue where there isn't enough time to put the lego sets together right now and no place to put them if they were done, at least these huge $80+ sets that have 1-3 feet floor spans.
