Huge dissapointment indeed. But it's Jazzwares we're talking about. So no one should be surprised. Their Mega Man and Street Fighter toys suck. I was giving them a chance to redeem themselves with the MK license, but it ain't happening. I mean, the figures have detail, I'll give them that. But what's with the very weird proportions!? And the articulations are just not hidden at all. It's like they tried to copy the SOTA Street Fighter type of figure but failed miserably. Plus the figures just look cheap. Pretty sad if you ask me. This line had a lot of potential. Why couldn't another, more decent company get the rights to the MK universe? I guess parents are still gonne buy them for kids though. With the low price point and all.

I am VERY dissapointed in these. I love MK characters (or at least the ninjas) and these have let me down in a BIG way.
The BEST MK figures are still the short-lived set released a few years back by a company called Infinite Concepts. They did Sonja, Lui Kang, Shang Tsung, Millena, Sub-Zero and Scorpion. I have the two ninjas plus Millena and they are amazing! They were supposed to release a second series, but the company went under, despite the amazing figures they released.
If you want nice MK figs, hunt these down! They're hard to find, however. I've only ever seen them on eBay, and the ninjas go for some bucks, but hey are worth it!

It's funny how things change. I remember a bloody awful line of MK figures coming out in the 90s and these are lightyears better than those. These would have been considered fantastic just a few years ago, but now given the bar being raised by street fighter and marvel ledgends this line now seems rather lackluster.
It's a pity. I liked MK alot back in the day and would have loved a really awesome line of toys. I'll pass on these as is.

I'm also dissapointed. Apparently series 2 is supposed to be better (and includes Goro), so here's hoping!

I believe an ex McFarlane Toys sculptor is doing Series 2. Too bad the detailing isn't Jazzwares' problem. It's everything else.

Even if Series 2 is better, I am bummed that 3 characters I would've liked to get (Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden) have all been hacked in Series 1.
Furthermore, if Series 2 looks alot different than 1, then they will not work well together, which makes the series 1 set pretty much useless.

If series one doesn't sell briskly because of it's damaging flaws then even if series two is perfection they'll probably never see the light of day.

I found some more MK toy info. Series 2 will include Smoke, Noob Sibot, a new Scorpion, and a new Subzero. This is stupid we will have 3 Scorpions and 3 Subzeros in two lines. The third Subzero and Scorpions are varients in the first wave the Subzero is a clear blue like ice man in ML and will be an online exclucive. The Scorpion varient will have a skull for a head. Goro has not been confermed or denied yet. - Dark joe I forgot too mention an exclucive two pack is in the works I dont know who's in it but so help me if it's another Scorpion and Subzero figure. I suspect it will be a Hot Topic exclucive due to the end of the interview.

Along with the 6 inch figures, Jazzwares will be releasing 10 inch rotocast versions of some of the characters. Two figures have officially been announced for that scale : Noob Saibot and Sub Zero. With Goro being a very, very likely candidate. I have seen both Noob and Sub Zero and let me tell you, they rock! Sculpting is great, so are the proportions. Articulations seem to be pretty well hidden too. I can't wait for them be come out. Noob looks badass. The following is an article announcing the figures, but I can't find the pictures now =/ www.mortalkombatonline.com/content/News/read.cds?article=579

I was pretty down on this line when I first saw the proto pics...but after seeing the variants I am surprisingly a bit more interested. I still think these could be done better, but I am at least interested in seeing the final product now.
