Let me add a few more... wrestling figures, star wars, barbie, strawberry shortcake, my little pony, littlest pet shop, hot wheels, pokemon, super heroes such as DC and Marvel,...
All have been around for many, many years and when one line variation dies off it almost immediately comes back with soemthing new. The difference between those properties and Xevoz is the toy companies sought to make them a pop phenomenon by actually promoting them with weekly if not daily television shows, video games, wearable merchandise, tons of commercials, comics, and movies. Xevoz never really saw any of this aside from two very brief, rarely seen half-assed commercials and an ever crappier #0 comic only given out for free at a comic book convention. It wasn't even in many retailers and of those the majority only carried limited runs and specific products. Xevoz was mostly reduced to a few facings in the back and never promenientlly featured. Xevoz was never really given a real effort to succeed like so many other flagship franchises before it. It's a wonder we got the 4 waves we did. Some people in Hasbro never really totally bought into the concept and it was obvious to anyone who was around from day one that there was never the type of commitment the line needed from the parent company to become a full blown success. I don't see how it will ever return as it was never fully endorsed to reach it's potential in the first place and because of that it failed so miserably at retail it's first run.

it's a shame. maybe if hasbro made a cartoon or a video game or something, it might have sold a little better.
