Xevoz ending...then being brought back....there's only one logical explation...FAIRY GOD PARENTS!!!! *psycho twitches and contortions* Sometimes I wonder if this whole board isn't a guerilla marketing tactic. Can you say "nonstop free advertising..." Gonxo, who do you _really_ work for? *backhand* QUITE YOU!! You'll blow it for me and GG *shifty eyes* YES AND YOU'LL NEVER CATCH ME UWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! On a serious note, yes...I do believe GG works for Hasbro....it all fits so well...if it's on the net people will buy it, how do you explain my porn subscriptions. ~GS

Please pardon the ignorance, but what validation is the toy fair that a toy will or will not be released in that year? I'm almost interpreting from this discussions that a toy needs to be presented in this toy fair for it to be sold, as if to say it was a 'licensing for sales' in a sense and I know that's not the case. Are all the companies obliged to participate by some regulation, or is it more just for sake of advertising?

There should be at least something at toyfare even if they only show the drawing's. If the Hasbro booth is void of xevoz something is amiss. - Dark joe

Well, for one thing Hasbro isn't going to release 2nd and 3rd quarter boy action figure product that isn't at toy fair. I've never know them to do it EVER. It is definately about publicity: to retailers mostly who are looking to place orders and internet toy site nuts secondarily. With that being said, does it make sense to bring back Xevoz with even less exposure knowing that that was the major achilles heel to the line in the first place. Believe me, if there is no Xevoz at toyfair it's almost a lock that it isn't coming out this year and if it doesn't come out this year then I doubt it ever will.

I'm almost interpreting from this discussions that a toy needs to be presented in this toy fair for it to be sold, as if to say it was a 'licensing for sales' in a sense and I know that's not the case. Are all the companies obliged to participate by some regulation, or is it more just for sake of advertising? Toy Fair is where companies like Hasbro basically 'sell' their lines to retailers...getting orders and such for the year. This is where they show their new lines and updates on old lines so that toy buyers from retailers can give orders for what their stores will carry. I have seen prototypes shown at Toy Fair or figures that ended up being cancelled due to lack of retailers support. Basically, if WalMart and TRU aren't excited about it and willing to dedicate shelf space to it, then odds are it is NOT getting made since the two 'big boys' will not be buying the line. So that being said, if a company is not showing an item at Toy Fair, odds are they are not producing it since that basically means that they are not showing the line to the exact people who need to make the decision to buy it or not. Maybe Hasbro is taking a step back on Xevoz to see what they can do to fix the line? Who knows...at least somewhere on these boards I heard mentioned of 'retooling' the line...so maybe it is not dead and we will see it (even if not this year) in some slightly different form (like without the game maybe) down the road?

Wouldn't some of this figures have popped up at the UK Toy Fair that concluded last week? I haven't seen anything even though I'm still hoping the rumors are true.
And when did GG say he worked for Hasbro? There's been so much activity on this board today that I'm having trouble keeping up.
