How can there be so many people, who have so many Hasbro contacts, and every single piece of info is different? Doesn't anyone at Hasbro talk to each other? Heh, take it from Me Heyyou, I work in a large company, and a great deal of the time, we don't know what the person sitting next to us is doing. LOL!!! I'm sure it's the case with them as well. They probably have segmented business groups working on many projects, marketing, productions, design and implementation. Perhaps AmericanLegend just happened to get the right guy we needed..... or perhaps that guy didn't get the memo, LOL! In any case, this makes me happy. I had this big long speech I was gonna drop on this board about staying optimistic, but now I see there's no need. Ahhh! it's quitting time! The beers are a' callin' and my Xevoz figs are a' smillin'!

Not to be the wet blanket of cynicism, but I'm not buying any of it until I see pictures of new product at Toyfair. I think this simply could be a case of the phone and email customer service drones not knowing what the up to date status of the line is.

Well, I will believe it. I don't need pics to prove that figs will be released. I've seen Rune Slayer and Fire Drake. I've seen the rest of Wave 4 from the ventured overseas purchases. None of us thought we'd see them ever. What's there to doubt anymore?

I've seen clearances, not seen any new info on the site, heard the figs are not in the 2005 catalogue, and heard again there was on space at Toy Fair for em this year. That's what keeps me doubting. One rep will not swade me unfortunetly. If we hear more news and things start brightening up, then maybe I can put my hopes into wave 4 and more being released here, but until then I just can't get my hopes up again. I can't let Xevoz rape me like they did before.[/b]

You just said it yourself. These toys had to be imported from overseas for us to see them.
I know my source didn't make up what he was told and that was from a sales rep less than three weeks ago. Who is more likely to have old information? A sales rep who is taking orders for current product and making the company lifeblood cashflow or some customer service people who only know what they know by looking to incomplete bits of old information on a computer.
I wish and hope this is true as much as anyone but everything is pointing to the line is dead. Until I see hard firm proof to the otherwise I'm not going to get my hopes up yet again. If the figures are on display at toy fair this week then I'll let loose a giant sigh of relief. If not, then you can make a safe bet that there will be nothing more in 2005.

*tiny parts of me dies*
A friend of mine remided me of the beanie baby thing. Man, what a bad fad. But that rumor was that they would stop producing them. Or something, but didn't.
Part of me doesn't want to beleive it because of all the bad news of it being cancelled. But I do beleive in fairies, I do, I do! Erm... I mean... Yea, things are lookin' up, I think.

You know, a rumor of cancellation just might get the word of mouth into overdrive if a line is doing poorly. A kind of last ditch guerilla marketing tactic.

That doesn't make any sense IMO. Online stores like D&S, BBTS, and a big phone order store (TIS) have their standing orders unfullfilled and are told they can order nothing else and this is a good marketing approach? Sorry, I don't buy it.

Sometimes I wonder if this whole board isn't a guerilla marketing tactic. Can you say "nonstop free advertising..." Gonxo, who do you _really_ work for?

If this cancellation talk was all a big "marketing strategy", then Hasbro is a lot more EVIL than I thought they were.
On the other hand, if it means we're getting more xevoz in the future. I can forgive and forget.
