I've known about the show and probably caught an episode or two in the past, but I've been watching it with my full attention for the past few days and I'm really digging the randomness of it.
Palisades is making figures from the Adult Swim lineup, including ATHF, which at fist I thought was silly, but now I'm looking foward to them.
Amazon has a deal on all three of the DVDs sets. I might have to pick those up.

At its best, the show is really damn funny. The dvds have some weird, funny extras as well. I also recommend Home Movies for less weird humor...

I love Home Movies the most. I was actually kind of mad when they switched from "squiggle vision" to using Flash to animate it.
I'm also mad the show isn't on anymore. Well, besides repeats.
Did anyone ever see that kid-oriented science show that was done by the same people and even had some of the voices from Dr. Katz?

Most of the stuff on Adult Swim is pretty hilarious. I just wish they would get some new episodes. They had some new ATHF, but I havn't seen anything else since that in terms of new material.[/b]

My least favorite shows--spaceghost and brak--were for some reason the most popular. Home movies is the best, I agree. I don't know what to think of the import stuff, like milk chan--it seems a bit boring...
The science show you speak of--i've never heard of it. Was it a cable show?

ATHF rules. This is by far one of my favorite show ever. I love the kind of humor they have and the overall weirdness. I have got to buy the dvds.

The science show you speak of--i've never heard of it. Was it a cable show? Nope, it used to be on Saturday mornings on either ABC or CBS. It was Science Court or something like that. There would be a trial and you'd see them building their case with clues gathered from using science. It kept my interest, but maybe just because I liked hearing Ben Katz (Coach McGirk) as another character.

I don't know what to think of the import stuff, like milk chan--it seems a bit boring... I can't stand Milk Chan. It seems that comedy sometimes doesn't translate very well, and can fail to bridge the cultural gap. I think that Milk Chan would be a good example of this very thing. The end result--IMHO--is that Milk Chan is an extremely boring show. Meanwhile, I do love ATHF. Home Movies and Sealab 2021 too. My favorite Adult Swim show of all time, however, is The Venture Brothers.

What's the deal with Tom Goes to the Mayor. It's sooo odd.
Maybe that's why it works. It's pretty funny seeing people embossed or whatever that filter is in Photoshop that makes images look like that.

Yeah, the emphasis is on the dialogue and the dynamic shots, rather then the animation which is about as minimul as it gets. I think it's kinda cool they have celebs on there that just play common roles like bear trappers, bar owners, ect [/b]

I hope we get more eps of TGttM soon. Tim and Eric are two funny customers. Those of you who haven't done so already, check out www.timanderic.com. They have some funny stuff there, most of which predates TGttM. The are even a couple of Tom/Mayor webisodes that gave birth to the show.

I gotta chime in on this one. ATHF is insanely funny, probably my fav of the Adult Swim comedy line up. You haven't seen any "new" shows because they are now in season 3 (if you've seen episodes like Video Ouija and Dusty Gozangas, then you're caught up) and to my knowledge there has been no announcement on when Season 4 will air, but it's a sure bet that this show will be on for a long time. There may even be more season 3 episodes yet to come out. I'd say to anyone who likes this show, definitely pick up the DVDs - I found that there's a lot of stuff I didn't pick up until after I watched the DVDs and was able to rewind to certain spots. Very funny show in deed! Home Movies is also great! At first, I wasn't a fan of the squiggle vision when Dr. Katz first came out with it, but that stuff just grows on you after a while. My fav ep of that show has to be when the kids go camping & Eugene pranks the coach by peeing in his canteen! ;D I concur with a lot of you about the other shows you've listed. Thumbs up to the Venture Bros., Tom Goes to the Mayor, Sealab and the like. Milkchan - stinks on ice.

By new shows I was pretty much refering to everything on Adult Swim. The stuff is hilarious, for the most part, but unfortunetly we don't get a steady stream of new episodes like with most other sitcoms or shows. There are what, half a dozen TGttM episdoes, and a dozen Venture Brothers? But I guess that is just the case with most animated stuff.
It feels like I have been watching the "new" ATHF for months now, over and over. I think they started airing season three a few months before Christmas, and it only took like 2 months or so before everything had been released. Now they have the older episodes on twice a night and sometimes you see the same episode twice, maybe three times a week. [/b]

Yeah, I agree. At first, I thought they were just trying to air the shows from season 1 to season 3 in sequence of airing, but I saw the PDA episode sometime last week, and it's scheduled to air sometime next week again. Ah well, they might just be trying to buy time to show season 3 with newer episodes, if there are any. Probably either near the end of the month or after this month, they'll have new episodes out,... hopefully. Whatever, I just hope that one day, Dracula really does show up, like Shake always claims that he will (the Little Brittle episode doesn't count).
